waiting on coordinator hires.

Obviously he presented a plan for (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky. There are a couple of other items on the Chiefs that I think are comparable on the Bear: 1) Tyreke Hill- a player with unlimited skills who may not be dominant if stuck in traditional positional paradigms has flourished under Nagy. Not every coach understands how to maximize talented square pegs. Nagy apparently does. He has another one of those players in Cohen. 2) Travis Kelce- a huge, two way TE from a non traditional football power who had very limited production as a rookie. The Chiefs essentially built their offense to run through him with him opening the middle for speedy WR on the outside and RB. I think Adam Shaheen can be that guy not sooner, not later but immediately.

I don't put a lot of stock in Nagy's interview praise for (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky...what else is he gonna say?

I know I shouldn't assume it given who were the interviewers but I assume he presented much more than praise. I would think he presented a specific plan to maximize his talents.

He liked (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky pre-draft. I think I heard he has kept in contact with Mitch since then.

Yeah, Trestman similarly couldn't wait to get his hands on Cutler.

They should have hired a coach that was adamant about his disdain for Mitch (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky and insistent they draft a new quarterback to replace him.

The Bears hired him because he's the best coach for what they have. But they what they have is a bunch of dogshit losers.

They should've just hired the best coach.

The only things that matter:

Will he prioritize beating the Packers?
Does he believe in Bear Weather?
Does he yell at players on the sidelines?

He'd better.

John Fox was terrible in division games with the Bears. If they don't beat the Packers, Lions, & Vikings than they aren't playing in the playoffs.

I'm hoping for another McGinnis type implosion, where maybe he suggested in the interview that he wanted to bring back Fangio, but once he signs the contract, he goes in a different direction and pisses off the brass.

Maybe he'll have a sense of humor and say his priority is beating the Lions.

Yes.

Funny, after the Bears were mocked for trading up to get him initially, suddenly the world is full of (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky fans.

That's because the fabled 2018 QB draft class is looking like shit.

The consensus around the NFL right now is there is not a single QB in this draft that has a chance to be as good as Watson, (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky, or Maholmes.

Poetic justice would have Jimmy G signing somewhere other than the 49ers.

(Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky could make the probowl next year and Brick will be whining about that extra 4th rounder the Bears gave up for him.

I don't believe your statement resembles current truths.

It won't resemble truth soon after the combine.

Rosen and Darnold will go 1-2 and Allen will go top 5.

If they do, 2/3 will be terrible.(Darnold and Allen).

I will also bet Baker Mayfield goes in the top half of round 1 and Mason Rudolph goes by the end of ROund 1. I wouldn't even be shocked to see Jackson get picked in Round 1.
