I don't doubt for a second that Senor could sell out his partner like that, but in this case I don't think he did. I think he's perfectly comfortable with everything about the show except the losing to Tom freaking Waddle, and with the Cubs, even that may not matter.

I see Detroit in Goffer's future.

Bernstein is making way too much money for today's radio. A clean break would be best. That, or send him to do national work with a solo show and reads. He hates Chicago anyhow.

Cutting North proved you could oust a station anchor and be just fine.

Just like Bernstein is always asking for teams to blow it up and start over, it should happen to him first.

Mac would come back at a bargain price because. . . well, he's been off selling cars. There is no more "getting outta bed" . Shit, hes sleeping in the studio!

Bring in a couple new names a la Parkins, and I would even send Mully and Hanley out to pasture as well.

Herron is better than Goff, but he's way too vanilla. I'd hire Anthony Adams over him in a heartbeat - dude has personality for days. Julie has to go as well. Hire a couple actually hot-looking women who have sexy voices to work in the morning and wake people up.

If this new boss is a devout Christian then maybe Bernstein is out. I said that when this new guy replaced Zimmerman. Maybe now is his time to strike.

As we all know, Bernstein hates gentiles. The new boss knows that and might hate him for it.

I imagine that Bernstein has terrific relationships with a lot of sponsors, particularly David Hochberg, who seems to be very generous to this shitshow radio station. Of course, no one was a better buddy to the sponsors than North, and the Score fired his ass, but I can't imagine Bernstein being unceremoniously dumped.

I'm not averse to bringing in new names. I think the Score's longstanding commitment to developing and promoting from within has been a strength and a weakness. They've put a lot of board-ops on the air who never should have been allowed to open their own mic. But there's no sense in dropping the one show that always wins its daypart, even if they win it because the competition is crap. People seem to like Mully and Hanley. They deserve to retire on their own terms.

Herron is good but I worry how well he can cover sports beyond football.

You can't see hotness over the radio.

Here's your new WSCR morning show:

Spice Adams and Lauren Screeden.

They have great chemistry together, they already talk sports, and the mouth breathers she would bring would cause sponsorship dollars to go through the roof. They are both funny and their chemistry is excellent.

Um, are you too young to remember the Julie Swieca Era?

She did excellent with the fans, and she had a face that would scare Kevin Matthews' mom.

Just imagine how successful Lauren would be. She'd be WSCR's April Rose.

Bernstein and Goff are equally lazy when it comes to the NBA. It gets downright embarrassing at times, especially considering the main criticism of them on this board is that they talk too much NBA.

Don't you find it likely that he blames Jason for that?

Anyway, Jim O'Donnell has been teasing big changes at "Da Schnore" for about a month.

Bernstein also has decades of reliable success at the station while others have left. The B&G show was poorly implemented but the best move is to give him another shot if you think the current show is not fixable. For as much as I hope Mac succeeds he got so bored with sports radio he left to be a classic rock dj so I'm not sure I'm putting all my eggs in his basket. He's clearly getting a full time job though which is cool.

Everyone but Parkins and the morning guys should be worried. Bernstein because of the unknown on what he will be doing and the rest because none are safe.

I think he is seasonal like Bears guys.

The Score has always been better when it cultivates callers as personalities. That can happen with Mc Neil.

Mully & Hanley should be untouchable. Their show in the morning is perfect. They have the formula down. They have a good stable of guests, take calls and hit MANY topics.

Hanley is horrible. His jokes are just as bad as his sport thoughts. Replace him with someone from the 5 of 5 panel.

I'm still on Team Goff.

Bernstein is the cancer. He's been a bad influence on Goff but Goff is fixable.

Change the culture of the station by diminishing Bernstein's role (I've always said I do not want him fired. There is room for his niche) and the rest of those kow towing "talents" will suddenly find a different radio voice.

At the same time, Goff has been asking for a public beatdown at the hands of Mac for a very long time.

Has Spiegel stopped playing hooky on the regular? While he does have a huge case of vaginitis, he is one of the few hosts who truly loves watching and talking sports. You need a few of those guys when running a sports talk station. Not every host can have open disdain like Bernstein for the topic they cover.

I won’t go as far as to say no changes. Clearly Mac has been popping up at the station recently and if he is putting out hints that he will soon have a bigger role then I would tend to believe that. It’s the implication of much broader changes and breathless anticipation of the fall of Bernstein, Goff etc. based upon a post of suspicious origin that I am casting doubt on. That said, I have no real insight other than being a listener and I’ve been wrong MANY times before. I guess we’ll see.

Bernstein is overrated when it comes to hoops and Goff wants to sound like Bernstein talking hoops. Just sound like a normal person and it would be fine.

Mac sounds like a normal guy talking sports. Spiegel does too but he also sounds like a bitter little man. Parkins is a perfect mixture of the Bernstein and Mac styles. He doesn't come off like he's trying hard to sound smart. Goff should try to be Hood because he'll never be Holmes or Bernstein.
