i skidded right near 143rd and Harlem and i had to turn right and hit the curb to avoid hitting the car in front of me. lost a hubcap in the process but i figured hitting a curb is better than hitting a car

Was it south/west side and burbs that get hit with icey rain or something? I had no ice/slipping issues on the north side getting to 94 from Ravenswood and from 94 to Deerfield.

I was getting ready for work and I heard on the news they had lots of "black guys" outside today. I didn't want to leave the house this morning. But my wife said, no they said "black ice".

Took me an extra 1/2hr. 4 cars in a ditch and an accident slowed me down.

About 20 minutes longer than normal. Once I got north of I-55 it was fine. 294 was a parking lot that I was glad to avoid.

I live in Elmhurst (no, not named Steve), and work in LaGrange. Got to work in normal time (local streets) and didn't even realize there were ice problems until someone that lives south texted they would be late.
