Any insiders know why long time MVP guy Silvy was fired? Who will Carmen be teaming up with from 9-12 or is he going solo.

For backstabbing, Harry, JD, Hood, & OG. He is going to start doing fill in work for SNR during weekend overnites as a independent contractor

Spaceball seems like a dick, IF this is true (won't believe it until it's in the paper or mentioned on the air). Don't know him, but he is on the air with them acting buddy buddy, co-hosts with DeFalco a few weeks ago, and talks to Silvy's mom on the air. Then he does this?

Did he at least offer Silvy a weekend gig, reporting job, or SportCenter updates, and Silvy just didn't want to be demoted? The guy was at the station for many years, and I actually liked his work. So his midday show wasn't the greatest and the ratings sucked... does 1 year of sub-par erase 6 good years of good work?

A professor who teaches radio at a University around here describes Spaceball as the genius who made the Score what it is, and that they are worried now that he is with 1000, but I will contend that Spaceball is a backstabbing dick.

He better make the 9a-noon show good. No offense to them, but I don't want a JHood or OG show during that time.

Silvy did not get fired. His resume is not at WCKG. This is all the same person posting this stuff. Funny, yes. True, no.

Even more proof that all the "Guest" posts have just gotten out of hand. Every post around here now is either OG-related or "Guest vs. Guest vs. Guest" wars.

I would debate you that Silvy has 6 good years of work under his belt. That said, I’m certainly not in favor of Salisbury getting a show. I believe Dolphin said it in another thread, this guy can’t make his point without getting hostile and worked up. Not everything has to be an argument. Discussion is fine, often preferable.

I would, however, give a thumbs up to by cracky Malone and Rosenbloom on every corner. It doesn’t get me excited, but I do think it would be a much better show. Carmen & Whiny are fine for evenings and weekends, but there are too many moments when they just don’t get it done for me. And it’s not entirely their fault, mainly it’s just a matter of experience. I guess I just don’t want to hear kids in the morning. There are too many issues that they fail to put into perspective.

Either way, I hope they land on their feet. I never really dug their show, but I have no reason to think either is a bad guy, so good luck…

Hoods second shot at the ring?

Or maybe, Just maybe ESPN can gather the funds to Sawy Chris Rongi!

That would be a huge STEAL

Why would these guys get a 'vacaction' until January 30th ? No way they are both back...at least hosting a weekday show.

I think JHood is a lock for the morning show. Just depends now on who they have him co-host with.

Sounds like they are auditioning for replacements, but it could be a case of 'this is your last chance, come back in 2 weeks, and you better come up with something better'. I didn't think they were THAT bad thuogh. Charlie Weiss talk is boring tho. I would miss the 'Run and Shoot' theme song and 'Previously on S + C doo doo doo...' soundbite

They got rid of the "doo doo doo" a while ago. :(
