Use your photoshop skills for a mashup of the fathead frank picture that used to be posted on here and the salt bae meme with Hershey kisses.

Stop picturing me naked.

I'll gladly be on the same side as Dr Ken on this 'debate.'

i tend to agree i wouldn't want chocolate chips in banana bread. However, whole foods has banana chocolate chip muffins, and the chocolate chips are pretty big and more akin to the fudge flakes that are in B&J ice cream. They're fantastic

Caller Bob's streak of shitty posts continues, sadly but not unexpectedly...banana bread is great

How come people don't have banana bread for dinner? Why is it only a snack, why can't it be a meal, you know? I don't understand stuff like that.

Try the recipe from the back of the Gold Medal flour bag:

http://www.geniuskitchen.com/recipe/gol ... ivity-feed

After it cools, wrap it in Saran Wrap to keep it moist.

The same amount of work you could make pound cake which offers infinite serving variations OR chocolate loaf cake which doesn’t sound so good but a million times tastier than banana bread.

Never understood the joke on that one. My best chili recipe includes quite a bit of chocolate, competition-level, it's tremendous.

I don't know what the fuck your brother-in-law is doing to his bourbon though.

A Hershey Kiss is not an ingredient. Dark chocolate can be.

Incorrect.

Milk chocolate, dark chocolate, peanut butter....You can easily find chili recipes that call for one of those. Same thing with beer, wine, tequila, etc. I've used them all at some point. They definitely make the chili better.

What value does the entirety of a Hershey Kiss provide?

The top 2 ingredients of a Hershey Kiss are milk and sugar.
Would you add milk to chili?

Perfectly framed. Milk chocolate is for children.

The value is in the ceremony of announcing "and now, to give it...a little kiss" and carefully dropping it in the center of the pot.

Chocolate in chili isn't uncommon but I don't think they want you throwing milk chocolate in there. Its unsweetened stuff. One Hershey's kiss isn't going to do anything to the flavor profile of an entire pot of chili anyway.

A couple recipes call for a splash of coffee. Frank would also take that to mean a smoked butterscotch frappuccino.

Maybe it's like adding an anchovy to your pasta sauce...adds a background note you would never know was there if someone didn't tell you.

If you like it, that's all that matters. Just know that the board meme is here to stay.

My point is that it's not really a meme. A bit of chocolate in a batch of chili is a real thing.

Dr Ken is one of the premier cooks/grillers on this site. I am perfectly fine with being on his side of this useless argument.

One random dude from Alexandria, Virginia....

A review:

Quote:
The use of 6 cans of tomato sauce and lack of spices made this recipe too soupy and very bland. With the overwhelming amount of tomato you couldn't tell there was anything to the recipe, especially chocolate.

Ah, yes. You know a chili recipe is on point when it is described as both 'soupy' and 'bland'

Maybe a fondue fountain was used as well?

Some chili recipes use unsweetened cocoa powder. Cocoa powder is not sweet. It includes no sugar or milk. It is described as "bitter." That is a far cry from Hershey's chocolate.

Dr Ken never said it was milk chocolate which is mostly milk and sugar.

Dark chocolate makes sense. There isn't really a case for adding milk chocolate as there are better options given the makeup of a Kiss.

There is. Just because you say it, does not make it so.

As I said, people throw all sorts of things in their chili; http://allrecipes.com/recipe/168814/pea ... ter-chili/

Throw a reese's in there and you'd really be getting somewhere.

edit: dear god, that's a vegetarian recipe. What sick game are you playing here Frank?

What value does the Kiss bring? You won't answer that. Dark chocolate brings value. Milk chocolate does not.

Do you add milk to chili?
