Honestly, after reading about it seeing the news reports I come to the decision that it is just more of the war on men. Stripping away more of our inborn workings. We are a violent species, the men more so. Football is dangerous, but it is a way to let out the feral violent urges that men have in a controlled manner. If this is passed within years High School will be gone. Then college and like it or not football pays the bills. no one is going to fill those 100,000 seat stadiums watching the little snowflakes playing flag football.
If they where really concerned about head trauma and that shit they would be going after lacrosse and rugby.

Joey, do you like movies about gladiators?

So either say you don't think football is bad for your brain or it's pointless to continue with you on this.

Again you attempt to over-simplify in an attempt to lock me into something so you can play "gotcha" later, and I'm not indulging you.

Having a drink is "drinking". Finishing a 12er a day is also "drinking". Then asking if "drinking is bad for your liver" is oversimplified, because not all "drinking" is the same to your liver. Here, you treat "football" as one monolithic activity, trying to gloss over the fact that you can play the game for varying amounts of time.

I don't think that 12 year olds should be drinking any amount of alcohol either.

What is your projected safe amount of football?

Remember I simply want to start the amount of safe football at 16 or 17. If your stance is you can play football for a safe amount of time isn't that better to not start the clock when you are in 3rd grade?

Bricks concern for the children rings pretty hollow when he relentlessly defended a pedophile who exhibitions his 9 year old victim on social media. Apparently 9 year olds playing "dress up "with strange men is OK, but football isn't.

If you really want to look out for the welfare of kids start standing up for an institution that molests them. After you do that we can talk about your bizarre crusade against football.

A person who supports and defends the molestation and abuse of children can not be taken seriously when they advocate for laws like this on the basis of them being good for children.

I only remarked on the statements of the judge. I didn't defend him.

So you do not support and defend the molestation and abuse of children?

That's only because he listens to a lot of B&G, otherwise he wouldn't know that such things are bad.

I don't know anything about anything.

Strange shot. I was setting up your defense.

FYI, I have spoken with my state rep. and this bill is 99% dead. It passed the Health Committee recently, but the bill is very poorly worded and has little support.

The State Senator sponsoring it was grandstanding with the Deuerson family(the kid is trying to get into politics) so this was all a dog and pony show, but they didn't put the work in on the bill. It was half-assed.

Aren't most bills very poorly worded? Isn't that what leads to all of the loop holes and politicking?

Yeah, but using the Duerson family to champion it was not a good idea. Remember this guy spent his life post NFL denying claims to vets who needed help. Also slapped women around. Bad guy.

You also have a large amount of bi-partisan opposition to the bill, especially in the African American community where football has a lower financial barrier to entry. (Sorry Bernstein, not every parent can afford 5K a year for youth hockey)

I'd guess that that opposition is quite a bit more illusory than you (or I six months ago) would believe.

They don't have the votes. And folks are blowing up their reps phones/emails..etc...this is going to get killed. If they wanted a real discussion they would have actually let this be debated in the mental health committee before overriding rule 21.

The bill was pulled today before vote or reading..to keep it alive. It would have been voted down if it was to move forward. No support. She might try to reintroduce it(feminist Caller Bob).

Good move. It gives scientists time to FINALLY get some evidence that football is dangerous to the brains of 12 year olds.

They are definitely going to have to come back with better data than they have now. Provided it exists.
