They were generally polite but there was a point at which Goff asked Paxson about ranking his worst mistake (or something to that effect) to which Pax responded "I don't understand the question Jason". (Jason mentioned McDermott & Gasol IIRC). He also joked about Paxson not coming on the show for 6 years. Bernstein asked if it was fair to hand Fred a team filled with veteran head-strong players that didn't match his offensive philosophy (referring to Wade, et al). Paxson actually said no to that, but added Fred had input.

But you could absolutely tell by the tone of Paxon's voice that he hates Goff. He was much more pleasant to Bernstein, though.

I was in the car most of the afternoon. I still don't know what they thought was so compelling about the Paxson interview. He chose his words carefully and said nothing really, and the asswipe Bernstein asked several Mully length questions to jerk himself off.

I turned on the show for three minutes on the way to school and they were making fun of various small towns and the way "the locals" pronounced the name of the town they lived in. And that's fine--you can make fun of anything, and, their smugness aside (Goff: "I don't drive the great state of Illinois!"), it's no real big deal.

But then they started in with the KKK references. I don't think they know that many downstate towns have significant Latino populations. It's odd because Dan accuses downstaters of living in a previous century, yet his own knowledge of non-suburban or non-gentrified cities seems to be taken from a previous century.

"d'splanes" is one of the great Chicagoland shibboleths. Trying to pronounce midwestern town names in perfect Metropolitan French will make you sound like the biggest rube of all. Well, that or thinking that only division games count in the standings for the NFL playoffs.
