MANY Democrats here still upset about 2016 are defending their ability to sway votes with illegals.

I'm sorry, this post will have to be deleted as it isn't uninformed speculation served with a wintry mix of hyperbole and whataboutism on the side.

I find it telling that the same people raising the biggest stink about this nationwide are the same ones who argue(d) most vociferously against the motor voter programs.

RR,fine the voting part may be a small part. The more disturbing thing I find when it comes to the Left/progressive/Liberal governments that are embracing the illegals and doing things like this for them is this.
They are saying this card can help them get government services and aid. There should be no way any illegal or even refugee should have a dime in government help until all of our own are taken care of. We have around 400,000 homeless people in this country,12% are Veterans and 7.4 % where children alone. That should be our leaders priorities, not the fucking DACA people. I still do not understand how SCOUS can override a repeal of a ex order? I know they can prevent an unconstitutional one,I do not see how this repeal is in any way that at all. 14.5% Americans are in Poverty level or below, that should be the focus of our leaders, not making sure that the refugees we take in are given are $5000 to start up and then around $2500 a month to live.
Another thing that had me SMH,yesterday the USa forced the leaders of the world to label Pakistan as a leader in terrorist funding ,yet we till send these fuckwads $8 billion a year? WTF??? This is a level of bullshit that makes you just want to wish someone would start a Thermonuclear war

A cursory search indicates that they are only legally allowed to vote in school council elections.

What about dead non-citizens? How are their voting records in Chicago?

Can't believe you're digging-up that old trope. :D

To add to the above, it would seem that it's not a Chicago rule, but a state one ... from the Illinois school code §105 ILCS 5/34-2.1. Local School Councils (d)(ii)(c). “Eligible voters for each attendance center shall consist of the parents and community residents for that attendance center.” This change was made in 1988 and, I believe, only applies to cities with a population > 500k.

And in many schools, few parents actually vote. Although, in my sons' old grammar school, most that did tended to be from the minority Hispanic population.

I'm glad to see you have come around to supposing a free national ID.

Baby McCown has to have the worst memory of anyone on this board. He couldn't even keep it straight that CH isn't a Republican. He's like the CFMB version of Julie DiCaro.

He seems like one of those people who views everyone as a friend or as an enemy with no in-between (and he knows which one you are within 1 minute). So you either support ALL Democrat ideas or ALL Republican ideas. Nothing else is possible.

Your last line aside, recognize that in another thread you were talking about billions being spent on Air Force One. In the same vein there was an increase in completely discretionary defense spending of what, almost $60 billion?

From my perspective it's a bit dishonest to complain about the social safety net that fails many citizens here, but rather take every opportunity to complain about others living here, but not a peep about the Pentagon, where there hasn't been a full auditing of the decades of sheer waste and fraud.

Why do you hate our military? Why do you hate America?
(the nation, not the poster ... everyone hates him)

Why can't you hate and complain at both the military and the freeloaders and the poster?

I was under the impression that it would be next to impossible for poor people of various colors to get a state id or driver's license. It was a point reinforced even more strongly with every attempt by someone to say how free, easy and otherwise pain free it could be made.

So now all is ok because the city wants to issue their own ids?

I'm glad to see you have come around to supposing a free national ID.

I was never against this. Actually they have one that isn't free called a passport already.

I know you need attention. Glad I can give it to ya.

Should be,I have said before that I think it is ultimate stupidity for there to the US Army and Marines using seperate combat rifles with different calibers. The fact that we have vehicles and equipment all over the place to a multitude of contractors. The pipeline needs to be fixed and rationalized. I mean can anyone really explain why the Airforce flys the F-16 and the Navy/Marines fly the F-18?
