Just saw a Joseph Berrios commercial attacking his opponent's ties to the NRA. The same Joseph Berrios who is running for COOK COUNTY ASSESSOR. wtf does the assessor have to do with gun control? Does he think people are that stupid, or are people really so stupid they would vote for ASSESSOR based on his gun control views?

Same thing with that fat fuck Pritzker. What does supporting the #Resist movement really do to help out Illinois and its fiscal nightmare?

The answer is nothing but score points with the progressive brigade.

Fuck Pritzker, fuck Berrios, and fuck progressives.

I just saw this commercial. It says he stood up to the NRA by writing a landmark law to outlaw guns in schools and is fighting to ban assault weapons.

Outlaw guns in schools...
Gosh it was so simple. No school shooting will ever happen again if we just outlaw guns in schools.

Just saw the commercial.

I want to say unbelievable, but it's incredibly believable.

MANY Democrats should be ashamed of campaigning on the graves of dead children.

Sadly, they aren't.

I heard one on the radio driving home that was from Rauner critizicing Ives for not promising to reverse Madigan's tax hike if she takes office. Then they play a clip from her where she says (paraphrasing here) "I can't write the laws, I can only sign what the General Assembly passes, and it seems really unlikely that they are going to give me something which would be an appeal." And after I hear it, I think, yes, this is correct, these are the laws of the state, but somehow Rauner says this is anti-Republican? I could see an ad saying that she won't reverse the tax hike, but then when you quote her and she explains how she can't legally do it, it really doesn't make much sense to me.

the berrios commercial is insulting to all. this piece of garbage is trying to capitalize on school kids deaths and NRA hysteria.... his website has ZERO mention of anything related to gun laws and NRA

http://www.berriosforassessor.com/

Rauner's commercial attacking madigan is funny, he's going to fight madigan and repeal the madigan tax hike..... um bruce, weren't you the governor when the tax hike became permanent because your veto got overidden? why would anyone expect you to be able to do anything useful in a 2nd term?

Yep. And I also like his bullshit commercial where he tries to tie Ives with Madigan because of one throwaway line that Ives says about Rauner attacking poor Mike Madigan. Yet Ives is the only one who has called out Madigan for his staff being sexual deviants. Not even tough guy Bruce Rauner has made a peep about it.

They are having a special congressional election here to replace a disgraced rep that had to resign. Aside from being generally annoyed by the amount of commercials at all I noticed a couple of things I though odd and interesting.

One the Dem candidate NEVER mentions or shows in any ad in any way that he is a Dem. He also goes out of his way to say he likes to shoot. The other thing is the biggest attack from the right on him is his associations with Pelosi.

There is your template for the fall I think.
