Bernstein belittled him saying he shouldn't take advice from a guy at a store front "Lenscrafters". That he should see a real ass doctor. Goff got mad that Bernstein didn't think he was a "grown ass man" and would get his medical advice from a dumb ass.

The person who always sees race would no longer be able to see race. That would be the most difficult part of being blind for Goff.

Then again, knowing Goff, even if he's blind, he would make all "new" people he meets declare their race, color and creed before he would talk to them. I'm talking detail. Couldn't just tell blind Goff that you're black. He'll want to know light or dark skinned.

How would you know the guy on the radio is blind if he never says anything about it?

Didn't make sense to me either. No doc good doc would give you the wrong prescription. I'll bet that's what Goff is saying. I'm guessing the real reason is that Goff probably wears his disposable contacts too long. For months at a time. Sleeps with them. But Goff doesn't want to admit that.

I was guilty of that when I was younger. Was told that's not good for you. So then I decided to go long stretches without wearing contacts. My sight isn't that bad. I can drive fine without them. I just need them when I'm in an upper deck at a baseball game. Or when I want to see the stripper that is on the far pole at the other end of the club.

To be honest, after not wearing my contacts for a while, I found that my sight improved. I googled it and read that it is possible for your sight to improve if you don't always rely on contacts or glasses.
