If suddenly you could be jailed for speaking out against POTUS, would you fight to the death to preserve that right or would you immediately comply?

I wouldn't fight to the death for MANY things besides the life of my kids and mine.

If I'm dead, I won't have the right anymore.

Would I fight to the death for the 1st amendment rights of my family and friends? I don't have kids, my dad is 85, and I don't have very many friends. Why would I bother? I'd just try to move to Singapore instead.

Id probably wait until Dicks Sporting Goods took the brave step and silenced their employees first before making my decision.

It's hard to get rights back once they've been taken.
I think organizing a political group to regain the 1st amendment would be difficult as you'd probably go to jail for trying.

When civil war comes you need to pick a side. Bystanders get killed anyway.

What other options would you foresee being possible?
I picked the 1st as my question because it would appear to me that peaceful resolution of such a situation would be unlikely due to the very nature of the protectio rescinded.

And thus, with this post, caller bob has entered the pay no mind section of darkside's brain, never to be noticed or engaged again.

No. It's a 1st amendment thread.
I'm interested to see in Americans would be willing to fight to the death in the impossible scenario I posted. Think of it as a thought experiment. I'd liken to not discuss that udder ammenmint der if possible.
I'm wonderi my because I feel like that's the only freedom that we couldn't retake peacefully.

If you think fighting to the death is one of the only two options, that's a good framework for answering the question "Why do you look at gun owners the way you do?"

Ok so there’s three options, right?

1.) Fight and risk death
2.) Disobey and go to jail
3.) Comply

Not exactly what I said. I said would you be WILLING to fight to the death.
With no 1st, you can't write out against the government. You can't organize political action groups. You can't write op ed pieces. You can't start get out the vote campaigns. You cant assemble in public. What alternatives do you see for getting back the 1st, KD? How do you do it? Don't just mock me tell me alternatives.

You won't get any serious responses because suburban hipsters think America's "freedoms" and "rights" are just examples of outdated jingoism.

I didn't know what a mult was until recently. I had to Google it.

Which is why when the revolution starts I will be with the gun toting rednecks because I don’t want to die.

It wasn't mocking you, I honestly do think the fact you presented only two options is a telling mindset.

I could live with losing my right to petition the Government for a redress of my grievances. Also if they enacted a state religion, I would probably be OK with that if the participation requirement were sufficiently low and assuming they did not change the right for free excercise thereof.
