That's just people getting older. I'm sure my grandparents felt the same about my generation at age 20.

Please don't introduce a strawman.

That’s not a straw man.

All the “This generation is fucked, we are done for, blah blah blah” shit is just that. Bullshit. And it’s been said for nearly the entirely of our country and most of human civilization.

It’s just a weak, lazy way to criticize younger generations. There’s zero truth or profundity behind the observation.

No, what's lazy is to act like the current criticism is just like all others. The current problem involves administrators and educators as much as it does students. It is also welcomed by Hollywood and a lot of the media. It's hard to argue against people trying to suppress free speech because they eventually silence everyone else first.

Nothing can be done to change it so just accept it.

It is a strawman. The discussion isn't about young people fighting for causes. It's about the causes themselves.

You referring to shootings, which is a textbook example of your "baby in a well" reference?

Really? You think trying to end the Vietnam War and refusing to let Condi Rice speak on campus are morally equivalent? You're not helping your argument that young people aren't nitwits.

JORR do you need a fainting couch that schools actually encourage people to have open minds instead of just filling them with regimented bullshit? Sounds like you need one.

Are you suggesting that you can eradicate all shootings?

No. We may be able to lessen them though.

Be like the good gun owners on here like Darkside.

Well, you're mocking me for saying there's nothing we can do, but you fail to recognize that there is a cost. There are probably measures we could take to eliminate shootings entirely, but they would involve taking away all basic freedoms. Are you willing to go that far?

You are going to extremes. There are logical steps we can do to hopefully lessen it while still keeping guns around for those who want them.

So, I say they wouldn't accomplish anything and you say they "hopefully" would. Glad we basically agree! (Did I do that right?)

I can't see in the future. I think saying "hopefully" is fair.

I've got to give you some credit. Usually it takes longer to become as big a raging asshole as you are. Bravo!

No the hive mind is what you consider paradise. Did you support Ted Cruz? You strike me as a Taliban kind of guy.
