I heard that he was at 101 in the first inning

Cease’s delivery isn’t nearly as efforty as I thought it was. The ball comes out of his hand nice. If he can develop that change and improve his fastball command he could be a starter.

Translation: since he is now with the Sox and no longer with the Cubs he is better than I thought and could be a good pitcher

If Cooper gets his magic sauce on him, that would be an HR issue.

Fulmer is horrible. Time to spend a little money on one of the free agent pitchers.

He’s making it very difficult for them to hand him a starters job.

I wouldn't be surprised if they go with Santiago at the 5th spot.

If they do it will be interesting to see if they send Fulmer down to triple A to be a starter or if they just put him in the bullpen where he belongs.

Give Fulmer a chance to disprove himself early in the season. Kopech may be kicking the door open on a call up by May. Then you will have Rondon pitching by June

The sooner they realize Fulmer is a pen guy the better. I dont know why they are being so stubborn on it.

LoL at Rondon pitching in June.

He’s been disproving himself for 3 years.

That's because Rick Renteria and Rick Hahn and Kenny Williams are idiots and Fulmer is the most successful draft pick of the Hahn era. The guys who created the mess are still in charge. Don't expect things to go well.

They optioned OF Charlie Tilson and RHP Thyago Vieira to triple A. They also sent down Covey and Ynoa.

I suspect all four will be up at some point during the season.

Little surprised at Vieira. Not a good sign for him.

slightly concerned to hear about Hanson with soreness in his forearm. That can mean many bad things. I don't really trust the Sox when they say it was nothing.
