Sorry to hear about that for your dad.

Working in the Atl airport in the late 80's the sheer crush of fans looking for the full experience always reminded me of fall football Saturdays. But it was hilarious to watch them come back in rental cars on Sunday/Monday, and see some of the crap they'd leave in them  :drunken:

 I have no doubts you found some interesting stuff.

One time I found an HP12k calculator, an unopened bottle of Johnnie Walker (& a couple others opened), and a tube of dick cream (opened). Funny thing is that the guy who dropped the car off tried to come back and get his stuff while waiting on the bus to his terminal. He saw me laughing, spun on his heels and kept it moving back for the shuttle bus. Unfortunately I wasn't a scotch drinker at the time BUT I gave it to my boss so I could keep the calculator I needed.

That's too bad.

My ex-girlfriend's mom grew up on a golf course in Wisconsin that her parents owned. She's a great golfer and probably would have been a top pro if she hadn't decided to get married and have a kid instead. She's made 7 or 8 holes in one.

Anyway, she went to The Masters and said it was the greatest day of her life. My girlfriend asked, "Not the day I was born or at least the day you and Dad got married?" Her mother said, "No, the day I went to Augusta."

I love my wife and our wedding was awesome, but if you gave me the option to relive one day of my life, I would have a very difficult time choosing between our wedding day and the day we spent at Augusta National.

10-26-05 might have to be in the conversation as well

Damn. Hope you're hanging in there Mike. I can't imagine it ever being anywhere close to the same. Hopefully we can have some good natured back and forth for you around here today.

So there's that.

Sorry to hear, brother.

But look at this... 4 years later and you're bullshitting on the internet. Life's too short to worry. Things usually work out.

Best of luck, Scorpio.

Forgive me if it's been mentioned before but what is it you do, hank? Perhaps someone knows a place that's looking for help.

Thanks fellas. Hopefully I don’t go the Pasta route. I’d rather not add a heart attack.

Hank,
Sorry if I was so harsh. Best of luck to you. I had a great job for 23 years and then I got laid off on the phone from some cold, heartless bitch at corporate.

The final "joke" was on them though. My incident came while I was still technically an employee. My final day was supposed to be a few days later. This meant I was able to take full advantage of my sick time and that was about another 4 weeks or so. Also stuck them for all kind of other bene's I was paying for weekly. If my incident happened a few days later,I would have been screwed.
