Inherently, the problem with their SJW radio is that it was one sided. They wouldn't even acknowledge that reasonable people could disagree. Take the NFL players kneeling during the anthem. If you felt that was a bad move, they would just keep declaring that the kneeling was about equality. Well what about the folks that support equality but feel it's a bad forum to break the tradition of standing for the anthem? On every issue, they were so definitive that folks coudln't even have a reasonable discussion. And when "fine don't listen" is your stock response, well don't be surprised when people stop listening.

So what you end up doing is the Fox News/MSNBC demographic split. You piss off half the available audience right off the bat. And for sports talk radio, the market is quite limited to men of a certain age. So you are splitting up an already small demo.

How could Goff have been blindsided by this? It was clear to even us jerkoffs that the station was rolling out Mac and Parkins and that some heads would roll. The ratings having peaks and troughs directly attributable to Cub baseball should have also provided some warning signs.

I haven't listened to Hood in awhile; but the difference there is that Hood is a professional that takes the gig seriously and does his research.

I never really got that from Goff.

Hood's awesome. He can get prickly sometimes, but I have always liked the guy. I actually tuned into him when he was on the Score.
