I don't think he honestly cares. He has the NBC gig and the DePaul thing.
I watch NBC as my news channel..i haven't seen his ugly ass in 5 years. The depaul thing is uber- newspaper delivery boy money.
He is on NBC Sports Chicago (previously Comcast Sports Net) for Bears pre/post.
Unlike Jason, if Larry gets launched tomorrow as part of this overhaul (lets say that meatpants goes to Monday-Thursday nights to finish out his contract), Larry is diversified enough and knows enough people to be fine, although he'd have to hustle. He knows enough people that somebody will do him a favor and get him a tryout for per diem stuff. He could pick up college work via Learfield on the radio and ESPN3 for video. When he's not teaching at DePaul, he could easily pick up vacation shifts down in Phoenix where he has his condo, especially when nobody else wants to be there during the summer. Their sports radio sucks total ass down there, he'd be fine.
Jason doesn't have the longevity, Jason doesn't have the contacts list, Jason doesn't have the "I can drive a boring format driven show... welcome back, it's time now for the coach's interview with Chuck" tape. He is Jason from Evanston, trying to be more than Jason from Evanston, trying to be serious. He's not even good enough to be a national show producer, guys like Shannon Penn (Bomani Jones), Mike Ryan (Dan LeBatard), or any of Dan Patrick's producers are so much better than Jason both on the mic as well as with production values that it's not even funny.
