Without question, Bernstein has impacted the Score culture. But I can't just boil down Jason's struggles solely to mimicking Bernstein. No one could keep up that type of facade for that long. A lot of Goff's issue was Goff.

From what I understand LA's sports-talk scene isn't even an afterthought, it's just nonexistent. He could try to revolutionize it and get a station there to respectability, like what he tried in Atlanta but with the experience he's gained in Chicago, and it might work. But, it's a rather large gamble in uprooting your family with a newborn to a place even more expensive than Chicago.

I think he'd do well where the local NBA team and NBA scene is more relevant (or close to relevance): Houston, San Francisco (he'd have to drop a certain element of his act there), Portland, Cleveland, Miami, or DC.

What about Detroit? He will be able to afford the low-income housing there.

Like I said, a Sirius NBA show at best. Which is what he had before coming back to the SCORE. On one of their 1,000 channels. But that's not big money.

The job he could have had at Fox 32 is the one that Brittney Payton just took over for the morning show, the food and entertainment establishment reporter who goes out and does a mix of live and recorded shots. But Brittney had a few years hosting Chicago's Best, and she's one of those magic names which Chicago TV stations drool over.

He can't get that job at Channel 2, because he'd scare the seven eightysomething white women from Galewood who amount to their viewership.

Britney is a sweet girl and Payton's kid. She's easy on the eyes. Brittney is made for that type of show. These show are for the pretty little girls like Brittney.
