He wants military parades for his ego, supports life-time presidency, wants to shelve the 2nd and 5th amendments (due process after).

You have this article today from Breitbart. So the government will determine who has guns.

http://www.breitbart.com/big-government ... on-orders/

And there's been talk he's going to use the military, if he hasn't done it already, through executive order to make deep state arrests.

Isn't there a saying, "Absolute power corrupts absolutely."? It's getting a little scary now.

Aside from glomming onto already proposed legislation, it's nothing more than talk about talking.

"White House budget director Mick Mulvaney estimated in February that Trump’s parade would cost as much as $30 million depending on the length. The memo Friday did not list an estimate for the parade’s costs."

Its not a conservative thing. This is a right-wing extremist thing. There are right-wing extremists who have been in our midst for some time now. They finally got a major voice with the Tea Party and its morphed into this mess. True conservatives are being held hostage by this. Trumps just playing it to his advantage. The people who he has had around him were very smart. There is no wake up call coming, there's only going to be more extremism on each side until we collapse into civil war.

People forget that a man bombed a government building a declaration of war about 25 years ago. Search Twitter for the people involved in incidents like Ruby Ridge and Waco. I'm not saying all Trump supporters are extremists, but a good portion of them are out there and more visible than ever before.

Look at this quote from HRC in India about her book and loss. Does this scream to you that the left thinks they should change at all and bring the rest of the country into agreement?

Hillary Clinton suggested that people who supported President Trump in 2016 did so because they “didn’t like black people getting rights,” or women getting jobs, during a discussion at the India Today Conclave on Sunday.

“If you look at the map of the United States, there’s all that red in the middle where Trump won. I win the coasts, I win Illinois, I win Minnesota, places like that,” Clinton said.

“What the map doesn’t show you is that I won the places that represent two-thirds of America’s gross domestic product,” Clinton explained. “So I won the places that are optimistic, diverse, dynamic, moving forward. And his whole campaign, ‘Make America Great Again,’ was looking backwards.”

Huh? Steve Bannon provided validation for a lot of what she said actually. This isn't some misplaced viewpoint. The senior advisor just highlighted it for everyone to see. Donald Trump was the candidate that first introduced race and ethnicity into the equation. Obviously it didn't hurt him. We need to stop with the pretenses and call it for what it is. THis isn't to say that he solely won because of it. Obama didn't solely win because he was black either. Absolute styled analysis serves to obscure the basic point. Trump played upon racial fears and benefitted from it. It didn't hurt him. To suggest that Dems are wrong for calling him on it is wrong.

LTG, I posted that to show that the Dems give zero shits about extremists and flyover country. Whether Bannon and Trump took advantage of that has nothing to do with my point. Those "deplorables" were ripe to be used because the left never cared about them.

Actually the deplorable comment was intended for those that subscribe to "embrace Racism" ideology. As usual let's generalize in order to obscure the point. Her comment regarding deplorables was intended for the Alt Right crowd. To suggest that TRump gives a shit about anyone but himself is laughable. If they were looking for someone that cared about them they could have did a whole lot better than that asshole. His track record in business illustrates that perfectly.

Obama won because the uninformed youth of this country at the time was excited about his social media campaigns and the excitement he generated as a celebrity politician.

Trump won because that uninformed youth grew up in those eight years and a lot of them realized the only real jobs out there for them are now temp / part-time and that things didn't really get much better for them. Combine them with the baby boomers who have been heavily influenced by right-wing media and you get what you saw a year ago. They did a great job of exploiting race and inequality.

Or am I totally off base?

No, not off base, but it's not the whole story. Trump had a nationalist and populist platform that appealed to people, while benefiting from HRC fatigue among voters. There was nothing exciting about her candidacy, made worse by her being embroiled in different scandals. Trump talked a good game (MAGA) and through his belittling of his opponents, appeared to be the stronger candidate.

But Trump is now showing his true colors as an autocrat, which won't sit well with Republicans or Democrats, because what he stands for is anti-constitutional, anti-democratic, and anti-freedom. Democrats can really do damage to Trump by labeling him as such and having it stick. He can't do anything to disprove it, because that's what he is. This is better than calling him another Hitler, which comes off as hyperbolic, unfair or disingenuous.

How many voters will understand what an autocrat is? MANY believe that's what our president's are already.

This. The deplorables were never in play for HRC. Her mistake was underestimating the mood of the middle and ignoring their desire to hear a strong message addressing their concerns.

This is not complicated.

Obama won because he is black.

Trump won because Obama is black.

The next person will win because of some simple other thing that they are, or aren't that makes them stand out.

No need to over-complicate things.

Who the actual deploreables she meant to reference doesn't matter.

It was one of the dumbest political statements in history. And this latest one is just as dumb (albeit, she's not running) and will be applied (as pm has already done) to all democrats.

She really needs to go away for the good of the party.
