my original comments only made fun of rauner's idiotic ads, it was not meant as an endorsement of any candidate... in the same post i discussed berrios nra ad. I merely made a point that i love attack ads because they are all so stupid and twist half trutchs... etc.... and basically treat voters as if they are idiots

It's one thing to run ads attacking Madigan as a way to get your voters to the polls. But it is quite another to claim you will help fix Illinois and then pretend you are going to do that without working with Madigan.

And you saw this with Rauner in practice. You can attack Cullerton and Madigan all day. But if you really want to pass legislation and start to fix things, then you have to court those guys and find common ground. Maybe it can't be done. But to pretend like you can fix this state without legislative help is just false.

My reading of it is that Ives recognizes you have to work with Madigan. I voted for Rauner today.
