This is the good version of Jason Goff. Just chiming in with some hilarious quips as the 3rd man.

Of course this led to a quote of the year.

Exactly

An absolute must listen from its inception until around 2012-2014 if you wanted to be entertained. They often made me laugh out loud and entertained the hell out of me.

Terry called me brain dead a few years ago after I botched my words when I called in during a Friday Fung segment, but it was funny as I indeed sounded like a moron! That was the essence of it—people are just too sensitive.

I had no problem with mean Bernstein. It worked for him. The problem was others tried to emulate that style and couldn’t pull it off.

All good things come to end, and with B &B it was a gradual decline—but imo was still the best “sports” radio show in the city to the end.

I still like HFC the best. Terry was in his prime for the entirety of that show, and he was funny as hell. He was engaged and devoid of the laziness that made it obvious he hadn't watched a key sporting event.

But B&B, given its longevity, has some of the most memorable moments. At its best, it was tough to beat. But I felt like you had to listen a lot to get its best, while HFC was just solid all the time.

McNeil and Boers were both at the top of their games at that time.

My favorite time at the Score was when Murph and North got whacked.

I was on the Hamp and Holmes show...May 2009 - Semi-finals of the Ultimate Chicago Sports Nut at Shoeless Joe's. Finished 3rd...dude that won got a 60" TV that he had to take home on the blue line that day. I got open bar and all I could eat for the afternoon...good times.

The funniest call I heard had to do with some guy who called complaining about his inability to buy White Sox tickets.

The dude stated that the reason that he couldn't buy Sox tickets was due to the fact that he had 5 kids. Said he had calluses on his hands from working in the field all day and when he makes money from working it was reserved for his 5 kids.

Terry replied that after having the time to make 5 kids that the dude probably didn't have enough calluses on his hands

When Terry was on, it was greatness. It made the last few years that much harder to listen to.

obviously they had quite a run but i think what is really apparent to me is how youtube worthy much of this show really was. even in 2016. what was memorable the last year? that was worth uploading to youtube. nothing.

It really is a sad, sad turn of events. I haven't listened to more than 5 minutes of the show since Boers left. It hasn't been remotely entertaining. Dan not only needs a counterweight, but also someone who can make 'em laugh. The only person who I could remotely see doing that was Barry Rozner. He was never in the running though. Possibly Rongey too, but he also a bit too giggly.

All we have now is Youtube. Remember the good times indeed.

For as fast as Mac blew it up, I actually thought Mac and Jiggs were a decent listen as well.

This has to be my favorite B&B clip ever.

Jeremy in Evergreen Park: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UOFv2eU73kA

I think the same guy also called up another time and used a different name, and Dan figured it out about halfway through the call that it was Jeremy again.

Stop saying Oh My God!

I have probably listened to BnB Youtube 10 times over. Nothing but gold.

Does anyone know if there is a website somewhere that has old BnB clips or archives of old shows.

Used to be some clips on MySpace but those no longer exist. I’m going to upload some long form clips from the show that are stored on old laptops sometime this summer. MJH too.

I have listened to every youtube BnB out there. I am looking for other ones that I haven't seen yet. Tunein radio used to have them but I get an error now when trying to play them.

Who would win in a Tournament of Drops (now that's a bit the show should have done when ToB ran its course): "I think Troy Aikman's a queer" or Hardaway's "ah hate gay people"?

Speaking of a Tournament of Drops, Grant Hill just dropped a "$5000 suit" during the Kansas-Villanova game. Absolutely no idea about the context, but it stood out against the noise to me.

I bet you liked Joe in Evanston more before he started arguing with you in message board threads every day.
