thanks for reminding me with the return of his weekly call in to the Score.

You would think he would learn about making NLMVP predictions after his crash and burn on Russell last year. Nope. Old Five Head Len throws down an unbiased Wilson Contreras prediction right out of the gate.

I was thinking to myself yesterday that there really has been no fodder for making troll threads lately making life less interesting. I want to thank Len for bringing ugly back.

I guess his country singing career (Thompson Square) went down the shitter.

Dolphin my friend we have to accept what it is. Either you accept Len is the carnival barker for the Cubs and let it go or tune out. I do find it funny though how he is considered less a homer than Hawk by some.

If Len starts

- Yelling at umpires about calls
- Leaving the booth to check on a player's status
- Sulking in silence when the Cubs give up a homerun

Then yes, he is as big a homer as Hawk.

That guy's resemblance to Len is uncanny.

Except that Hawk actually gets pissed off and will be critical of the Sox. Len rarely says a discouraging word about the Cubs anymore.

Sutcliffe also predicted this and said Hendricks would win the Cy Young award. High Larious.

Len doesn't need to be on each of the 3 daytime shows once a week. he is a boring listen, usually doesn't divulge anything... just so boring.... so so boring.... PTFB for me everytime, would rather listen to B&G interview a national NBA guy than a len kasper segment

Perhaps there is some correlation with the Cubs being really, really good of late and the Sox being really, really, shitty?

This quote from Ocean's 11 sums up Len pretty well:

You look down, they know you're lying and up, they know you don't know the truth. Don't use seven words when four will do. Don't shift your weight, look always at your mark but don't stare, be specific but not memorable, be funny but don't make him laugh. He's got to like you then forget you the moment you've left his side.

The defending champions Cubs were how many games out of first place and how many games under .500 at the AS Break last year? You don't think there was reason to criticize the team during their awful first half, Doctorate Bob?

Advanced analysis suggested they would rebound the mean, or 90+ wins. REALLY SMART people knew this.

No, there was no reason to criticize the team at that point. If you recall Dr. Ken, Leash and myself were cool as cucumbers last year.
Now, my question to you...Crêpe Connoisseur..what is with this sudden Cubbie Obsession? Opening day for the White Sox is coming up too. Eyes on prize..my friend...

I asked Bob if there was any reason to criticize the Cubs for their 1st half play. He has yet to answer the question.

I didn't say it was awful. I asked Bob if there was any reason to criticize the Cubs for their 1st half play. He has yet to answer the question.

I mean kinda sorta not really. they weren't playing g awful baseball. They kinda looked ready to surge at any time, which they did. They won 92 games. If he had been critical of the team and they won 92 games you'd be mocking that.

I missed Bob's reply, my bad.

Darko, Bob said that the Cubs floor was 95 wins in 2017 so even using his own words, he felt they underachieved.

There were MANY reasons to be critical of the Cubs. Being cool and expecting them to rebound is one thing. Being critical of their poor play at times at times during the first half of their 2017 season is different.

Anyway, point being that Len is a douche. He was a million times better with Brenly.
And it goes without saying that Caller Bob is an all time douche.

In no way am I obsessed with the Cubs... but here...let me do a side by side breakdown of the past two color analysts for the team.

Look, I said that Hawk calls out the Sox for making mistakes. MANY times during the season, he will say something to the effect of "we gift wrapped X amount of runs for them." Len rarely does. Bob jumped in and basically claimed that the Cubs were immune to criticism of any kind. Over 162 games, there are MANY times that a team will screw something up or make a mistake and be called out for it. Hawk does that. Len does not.

Here is also my full quote from the thread

Caller Bob wrote:
Factoring no major injuries yes. In terms of talent/win shares, what came out the door, what came in the door, future growth of young players and of course decline of the veteran players, it's tough to forecast a decline of anything more than 7-8 wins.

Russell and Zobrist missed significant time with injuries. Those are about 2 or so wins right there..so I wasn't really off at all. Go home and get ya fucking shinebox, Francis.

I don't see that phrase the same way you do, I guess. It seems to be opposite of actual, realized accountability. Instead, it comes off as "no way they could have beaten us unless we let them!" And that ties into "no way we would have lost unless the umpires were on the Tigers' side!"
