I really think Davidson ends up surprising with his progress. That said, he probably maxes out as a platoon corner IF and DH.

Not real worried about Davidson. If he excels you find a way for him to be part of the future. If he does not, then he is a place holder for now.

The guy who really needs to come out of the gate hot is Tim Anderson. He sucked with the glove all 2017, and he sucked the plate pretty much thru July. If he gets off to a slow start he needs to ride the pine or get sent down for a while.

Davidson seems limited, almost to the point of uselessness, and I don't see him getting any better. But it sure would be nice if Anderson turned the corner here.

A guy that can hit 25+ homers is not useless. Limited yes, but he serves a role on this team right now.

He's useless, Frank. 170 strikeouts and how many errors? Can't run at all. Useless. And I don't think he has the kind of skillset that can be improved.

Without an even slightly below average OBP his homeruns are worthless. He needs to make a big jump in that this year if he wants to be a major leaguer.

Salvador Perez is injured. So the Sox chances against the Royals increases.

Got them at 70-92 but my heart says 88-74. I think the rotation is going to be pretty damn bad this year.

At least two guys in the rotation at the end of the year are in the minors now. Giolito is going to be very good. I don't know what their record will be , but I would not be surprised if they were around .500 based on how bad the competition is.

Love what I’m seeing from Giolito. Not sure that turns into good production this year and the rest of the rotation could be a disaster. Obviously I hope I’m wrong.

that's fine, our best guys are in Birmingham and Charlotte. I'm OK with letting this season suck and then calling up the big guns in September to make a run next season
