This isn't on topic but what you posted reminded me of it. Last night I watched a PBS show about powerful women in the workplace. I was struck by Sara Blakely, the inventor of Spanx, talking about how she walked into factories out of the blue with no appointment and asked to see the owners. And guys took the meetings! What a stunning obliviousness to her privilege. It helps to be a cute blonde.
