Is Porter Moser's name pronounced "Moser", like Moses with an "r", or "Mozher", like...like how I just spelled it there.

I thought it was "Moser" but several people on WSCR have recently been pronouncing it as "Mozher."

I think it's the zh, but it's interesting that a Catholic school has a coach with one of the most popular Amish/Mennonite surnames.

Seamingly absent from the ones I know in our local community. Now you can’t shake a stick without hitting a Schrock or a Hostettler.

Moser is a form of Moses/Moyses, based on the originally Hebrew Moshe. Distinguished bearers of the Jewish surname Moser include the German banker, philosopher and linguist, Moses Moser (1796-1838), and the Austrian pediatrician, Paul Moser (1865-1924).

Spada, the Italian word for sword, is a surname of Italian origin. There are no distinguished bearers of the Italian surname Spada.
