I'll feign ignorance since I don't listen, but are Mully and Hanley spending a disproportionate amount of their show talking national NBA?

Highest ratings at the station. Funny how the evil corrupted NBA doesn't effect them at all.

Didn't you earlier in the thread dismiss the notion of M&H's ratings success being in part due to a football heavy approach? But now their ratings are helped by hoops talk?

Pick a lane, or call both lanes racist then say you were talking about a sidewalk.

Point being basketball talk didn't hurt their show. Stop with the directives until you start addressing overt acts of racism. Its weak and hypocritical.

Of course the shows should discuss the Bulls. And they should cover the playoffs. Nobody is complaining about that. But does the Chicago audience really need an in depth breakdown of a Wednesday night Clippers-Spurs game in February?

Do we need 2 segments of Odell Beckham talk during the off season?

You're asking the wrong guy because I hate the NFL more than I hate the NBA, but I would say no unless there was a strong likelihood he was coming to the Bears.

There's national NBA talk and then there's national NBA talk. I don't think most guys push the button during a segment on, say, whether Curry is injured seriously enough to miss some or all of the playoffs. But that's a lot different than some of the NBA junkie stuff bernstein foisted on his listeners, like that dumb GMs poll.

As has been mentioned by MANY, real basketball fans understood that B&G didn't know what the hell they were talking about. That's why they didn't listen in addition to all of the tiring political topics. They often took a popular stance and beat it into the ground to the point you wanted to take the opposite POV.

Yeah but i'm sure the rest of the radio world was just salivating over another rendition of "Who's Your Guy". Listening to Bernstein read scouting reports verbatim from some non descript scouting service is a sure fire way to reel those wayward listeners in isn't it?
