Do they even have movies on here anymore? Im trying to find anything within the last like 3-4 year and nothing. Only stuff is the original content. Seems if you want movies you got to add in the DVD package.
SHould I jump to Amazon or Vudu?

Have you tried pornhub? Some of their links might be to your liking.

I always have better luck searching Netflix on my laptop then using the search built into the Netflix App on my comcast box...try that.

Have you tried jumping in front of a moving train?

Have you tried the search experience by going to the actual site on your laptop? It's much better, you can drill down genres more in depth as well. You probably will find something...that said I think I am going to kill my account too, at least until Season 2 of Ozarks is dropped.

A lot of the Marvel movies are on there.

Not sure about Kingsmen.

Batman vs. Superman isn't there yet.

I don't understand the difference between the business models of streaming movies and streaming music. For about the same price as my Netflix subscription, my Spotify subscription gives me access to almost every song ever released. They don't pull shit like Netflix where one month I've got Metallica and the next month I don't, or I can't get Elton John but I can get some shitty album from the 60s. The selection on streaming Netflix is HORRIBLE relative to the universe of movies and the list of movies I want to watch. It's not even comparable to the music equivalent where I have access to virtually everything.

What's worse is that now in many cases you can't even RENT a movie via streaming. It's buy or nothing. WTF?

Chas. As a public service I will let you know Goodfellas and Casino are now on Netflix. If you don't want to watch those then please do humanity a favor and walk in front of a bus.

So here's the thing.

Netflix was paying a shit-ton of money to host the types of movies you were looking for. Even with the number of customers they have, it was not going to be profitable in the long-term. So, they realized it would be much cheaper to just produce their own really good original content that they could own and host exclusively on their platform. Some of that original content is fantastic and I'd recommend watching it. If you want movies, its probably best to cancel Netflix and look for alternatives.

I canceled for the 2nd time. I think their content sucks and their Marvel stuff is BORING!

in simplistic terms, is it easier to pirate music or movies? and which has better quality most of the time?

movies have annoyingly complex red tape like distribution and ownership, and i'm sure it's hard for a single service to store all those movies on one platform for a period of time. that's, i think, why they shuffle stuff in and out. and like CLH said, they were paying a lot for it and not getting much return. at least with their own original content they have more control of money flow and they probably get more subscriptions that way.

for years, xfinity's On Demand has been better than Netflix as far as movies.

Movies get exclusive deals. It's been that way since HBO and the other pay cable systems started. Music is designed to be given to everyone with the idea of selling the music and also having concerts. Spotify now has to pay but they benefit from the way music is licensed. That's why something like Harry Potter was only on Freeform besides one movie and now it's all on HBO and you won't see it anywhere else.

When it was a physical disk they got to take advantage of what Blockbuster had done. When they switched to streaming the studios all considered them like HBO which killed their library.

Maybe you’ll re-up when Scorsese’s The Irishman comes out on Netflix next year.

I am going to give Movie pass a shot. Looks to be worth it,I try to go to one a week as it is so if I double it will save me a ton.
Going to also go Prime on Amazon.
