Or a beast prone to having "ouchies" like his latest injury, a strained pectoral. Prior to that he had a knee issue in spring training and only got 7 AB's...

I hope that’s not the case. I look forward to him rubbing it in Theo’s face for many years.

How does a 21 yr old strain a pec?

I'm guessing Quintana will be what's he's always been. An above average starter.

Eloy will be great. Only health could stop him.

Hahn has had 5 straight losing seasons. Let me know when he has a winning team, much less an actual contending team that makes it to the playoffs.

Why would we need to let you know? It probably will be in the news.

Steak Dinner Boom raises a valid point.

Any asshole can strip a roster down to bare bones. Credit should only come when he successfully builds it back up. Hahn has not done that yet.

I moved to Chicagoland in 2003, and while I predictably sided with the Cubs in the city’s fratricidal baseball war, I fully expected that the Sox’s championship aura—just two years after the Cubs’ epic NLCS collapse might have nudged undecided fans toward donning the black and white—would move the needle. I was wrong. Chicago never wavered in its Cubs tilt, and nationally, the Sox might as well have not existed.

Well can't take this idiot seriously after this.

The White Sox can't even carry their own URL without the need for an SEO pick-me-up.

I am just trying to encourage the content machine that is JLN!

On another note, I have always like Hahn. The White Sox may be the quickest complete tear down/rebuild in modern baseball. I am still amazed at the collection of talent they acquired in such a short period of time. And for Hahn detractors, the long term signings of Sale and Q created the majority of the value that allowed for prospect acquisitions.

But the White Sox drafting may be a crutch longer term.

Maybe an Early Bird Special. This is a fine dining establishment I'll give it back to the bank before I do that.

He's pretty much blown every first round pick for the past 6 years. Zip Rick's fly back up for the moment.

Do we know exactly when Hahn took the duties from KW, or at least when Hahn was told he didn't have to listen to Kenny?

I know it seems like excuse-making, but it is undeniable that Hahn was on the wrong end of that power dynamic until very recently.

Cubs fans more worried about Rick Hahn than their own team's lack of offense. Very sad. Very nasty.

If Burdi didn't throw out his arm, I bet he would of broke camp with the Sox. Kinda 50/50 on the Collins pick. I don't really want Adam Dunn at the catcher position unless he can hit 40hrs a year.

Collins won't stick at catcher. Burdi won't pitch till 2019.

Not at all, because there is little to really worry about. The Cubs offense will be very good. They just had a few games in the beginning of the season where the team did not perform as well as they will normally. Maddon made a mistake in my opinion putting Haap at leadoff and playing him over Almora far too often and Theo made a mistake in not bringing in a good and proven leadoff hitter, but when the year is over, they will once again be amongst the top scoring teams. I don't think Cub fan are WORRIED about Hahn either. Some just find it odd that the Sux fan base wants to congratulate a GM that has had 5 losing seasons, without a single winning one and has a 6th one likely under way. The team MAY be good in a couple years, but to date, Hahn has had nothing but losing teams.
