Top 7 TNG episodes. GO!

I'm going to ponder as I watch the Cub game.

Just throwing out there to pare down later -

Measure of A Man - origin of Lawyer Picard against a judge that wrote Bette Midler's "The Rose"
The Inner Light - made Patrick Stewart look 173 years old
Chain of Command II - I think there's enough Jellico in there to let Part I fall a bit
Preemptive Strike - ENSIGN RO!!
Cause and Effect - FRASIER!!
Clues - ROGUE DATA.....AGAIN....
Conspiracy - the first time TNG indicated it might be good
The Pegasus - good late series and believable Riker vs. Picard
The Drumhead - more excellent Lawyer Picard

Will continue to work on the list.

Some other I need to consider -

The Ensigns of Command
Booby Trap - Geordi's unfortunate #MeToo episode (first of many)
Family
The Best of Both Worlds (combined)
Darmok - love it but not as rewatchable as you might think
Ensign Ro - ENSIGN RO!!!
Ethics
The First Duty & Tapestry - Need to be in the prime list
All Good Things... - half a great episode

1. Measure of A Man - watch it and replace every time they say "Property" with "Slave". It's not a subtle episode but it is still pretty powerful.

2. The Inner Light - solid episode of drama

3. Preemptive Strike - great episode about divided loyalties and the regrets. The final scene of Picard in that episode is great.

4. Chain of Command, Part II - JELLICO!! It's basically a 2-man play.

5. Tapestry - Not original thematically but still fun to see young Picard as old Picard learn a lesson. Try not to think about the fact that the actress that Patrick Stewart is acting with actually is 17 years-old.

6. Conspiracy - Loved when Picard reminded Crusher that you don't beam down to Starfleet Command fully armed right before they eat some worms.

7. Clues/Cause and Effect - Very similar episodes and I love mystery TNG. I'd probably give the edge to Clues based on Data going rogue and the crew trying to figure out why.

I'm going to ponder as I watch the Cub game.

What was the one when they were chasing the Borg and passed up like half the fleet ships totally destroyed? That was kind of a cool episode... might have been a two or three parter.

Top 7! GO!

1: In the Pale Moonlight (either that or TNG's "The Inner Light" is the greatest Trek episode ever)
2: Far Beyond the Stars
3: Duet
4: The Way of the Warrior
5: The Visitor
6: The Siege of AR-558
7: It's Only a Paper Moon (sequel to AR-558 and really a great look at PTSD)

Honestly, DS9 is probably the best Star Trek series and I would also argue the greatest Sci-Fi series ever put on TV.

I'll have to go with any episode featuring this Vulcan:

Duet is such a great episode. You don't even have to have seen Star Trek. It's just an hour of gripping entertainment.

i really got invested in the TNG/DS9 Klingon Civil War storyline. "Sins of the Father" and "Sons of Mogh" are really good. i mean, you can't go wrong with Tony Todd.

I liked him better as Jake in "The Visitor"

I didn't like how Kurn was handled in DS9.

Tony Todd didn’t like it either but I think any other way would have been cliche. I think Worf’s closing line about not having any family was really tragic and Kurn was compromised, not knowing it. It was a conundrum.
