Is there a fire Joe thread? This is the same team as last year that either scores a bunch or damn near gets shut out for 15 straight innings. Joe blamed everyone else and had them fire and they are the same fucking team with the exact same issues. It's his hands off, excuse making bullshit fosters this lack of execution. He does a great job of leading a team up the mountain but once you are at the top push that fucker off. I am fully confident that they would have scored today had he not come out with that "we hit it so hard and ive never seen a team hit better in a shutout" bullshit from yesterday. Demand that this team piss excellence Joe.

There is no denying the lack of a leadoff man hurt them last year and again this year. Happ isn't the answer. The closest guy they have is Zobrist who is not a regular anymore although he should play 4-5 days per week. No easy answers with this roster.

I have said it before.....Almora should be the everyday CF and Haap a utility guy if not traded. He strikes out WAY too much to be a leadoff hitter. People that let the bullshit in spring training (where pitchers throw mostly fastballs and work on command and arm strength) fool them into believing Haap was a leadoff hitter were just stupid. The situational hitting has been poor, as was the case last year in many games. The switch to Chili Davis as the hitting coach, doesn't seem to be producing better situational hitting or fewer strikeouts. Schwarber and Russell are off to better starts, and Bryant is hitting real well, but not many hits with runners in scoring position.
