Wasn't Rather axed for statements later proven to be true and questionable (to the Bush family's integrity) about W's part time service protecting Alabama from Tennessee while avoiding Vietnam?

To call Rather a journalist after that, is an insult to actual journalists.

Iirc he got burned by a 3rd party on the document, but the story he ran was still largely accurate.

What was the transcript of the statement they all read. I've only seen it referenced as "anti-Fake News" with the anchors saying the practice "threatens our democracy" which is something I'm pretty sure Dems have been clutching their pearls over for more than a year.

Because yes, given how the statements were framed in the piece linked, outrage at the statement from Dems seems incredibly hypocritical.
