I could have driven round-trip three times already. And the Skywest plane is a cramped little CRJ200 with the heat cranked. Sweltering. Awful.

 I'm afraid to ask where the final destination is and how many more connections need to be made to get there.

I would have thought you would have found a way to connect through two or three African or Asian countries no one has ever heard of to get there.

Were you forced to fly? I'd have thanks no thanks them for the ticket and drove.

Two of my friends managed to pound three beers each in first class on the Milwaukee-Chicago flight back when it was flown with a real airplane and not a piece of shit CR2.

Pre 9/11, the first Chicago-Milwaukee-Chicago on weekday mornings was a DC10 headed to LA. That must have been an interesting flight.

I fly to Dallas fairly regularly for work. Timing didn't work in my favor this last trip and the only direct flight I could get was O'Hare....normally fly in and out of Milwaukee.

Jesus Christ....I forgot how much O'Hare sucks. All things considered my flight didn't have much drama but in typical O'Hare fashion you had
10 min Taxi time to even get off the runway
10 min of Tarmac time waiting for gate
Remote parking.....For $17 I shouldn't have to walk a mile just to get to the Tram

That being said, connecting flights never a good thing.....just drive the additional 75-90 min.

Back in the day I once flew Midwest Express Milwaukee to Rockford and I was the only passenger. Pretty fucking boss.

Midwest Express was awesome with the big leather seats and fresh cookies. Took that flight from Milwaukee to DC and Atlanta quite a few times.

They actually sold the Midwest cookie dough in the stores. I don't know if it's still available under a different brand name at this point.
