I'll just pass along some knowledge I picked up and recommend that you not do that. The price was so attractive at 2 for $2.

UIC's campus used to have a food stand called "Cheap Lunch", which I think was some Catholic Mission thing. In any case, they gave you a hot dog, chips, and a drink for $2. It was a running joke around campus, and I thought it would be funny to open a stand right next to theirs called "Cheaper Lunch".

I just thought it was great that the Circle Center had a Taco Bell. Two beef meximelts, two soft taco supremes, and one chilito. All that was missing was the cash in my pocket to pay for that order.

I had to endure all the renovation on campus where they tore down the concrete ramps and stuff. But they actually did a decent job with it.

You guys ever make it to that room where all the architectural students built their models? They had beds and frigs and stuff because they spent so much time there, but it was an amazing display of creativity with all the different models.

It does look totally different now. At least from the outside.

Yeah I went over there once or twice. It was pretty cool to see.

I used to have to walk through the campus every day to get from Ignatius to the blue line. If I stayed for anything after school and had to go home alone, traveling through UIC was liked walking through some post apocalyptic war zone....desolate with gray concrete thrown around everywhere.

Ahh, the memories... Different school, but when I was at Iowa State, the studio rooms started to look like shanty towns after awhile. Spend so much time there, that everyone tries to do what they can to add some creature comforts and personality. Probably remembering it wrong, but it was pretty much weekly that we'd spend at least 1 night there. My record was 62 hours without sleeping. A combination of big projects and good old fashioned college drinking and procrastinating.

That's a perfectly sane food to eat.

Not gonna lie ... had designs on getting a gas station dog yesterday (it's a nicer gas station fwiw), but the Lord was kind and by the time I arrived He had assured that there were none for me to procure ... a bag of Giardetto's was substituted.

My family thought I was crazy but it wasn't like the Burger King at the rest area in Appalachia that they were ordering from was some super sanitary situation. I'm still living with my decision today.

Interesting. I do like a good tornado or that pressed buffalo chicken roll monstrosity. Good stuff.

I'd never get a hot dog though. That's crazy.

You're safe with hotdogs at Circle K...at least the stores in this area. They were pretty religious about making sure the roller grill items were cooked, and then thrown away after a certain time.

I only go to Circle K (strange things are afoot) after BP accused me of being a liar and a thief.

every year, we have a lake in galesburg that gets a hot crappie ice fishing bite. the key is to go at night though. its a night bite. its a half hour drive from my home south of the QC. there is a 7-11 in our little town and i stop in to grab a snack.

I see that pressed buffalo chicken thing and go, i'll have 1 of those. she goes, 1 is 1.79, 2 are 2.29 or 3 are 2.59. I'm like well shit, i'll take 3 and she starts to sleeve them and i'm like can you put them in a bun? she looked at me like i was nuts but did so anyway. i freaking dipped them in ranch all the way to galesburg. it was disgusting.

trash food > buffalo roller thingies dipped in ranch.
