Better than ordering a sandwich at HawaiiYou's. His joint doesn't even have sliced bread yet.

Don't eat the hot dogs either.

That guy just needs to OD already...what pisses me off about that is that the way the music carries through the restaurant, you can't hear the mumbling millennials behind the counter get your order wrong...

I don't know...the sandwiches seem small, but the sides (cole slaw ftw) are fairly decent sized. I do like their broccoli cheddar soup.

It doesn't make sense. The fact that he's there is annoying enough, but bringing a speaker that blasts it for a mile radius is just over the top.

Jimmy John- GREAT GUY! We're gonna go on safari together to kill some leopards. I'm gonna use the skin from mine to make panties for my wife, Lori, and a couple pair each for Alex Guarnaschelli, and Amanda Freitag. I plan on chopping up the meat and rolling it up in buttered seaweed and rice. Gonna call it African sushi!

Upon further review, Guy Fieri is probably the one person in the world that would want to listen to this shit.

You are the only person I know who would do this. I think you're crazy, but I respect it.

In general, I don't understand why all sandwich shops have to be hipsterish. Jimmy John's has their cute little phrases and lists, and Potbelly's always has some guy who hasn't showered or shaved in a week blasting the guitar at the door.

Because otherwise they're overcharging you for something you could get prepared at the grocery store or easily make from food at the grocery store.

I have a friend who grew up in Cherry Hill, NJ and she says that Jersey Mike's is a reasonable facsimile of a real Philly cheesesteak and one of the closer versions she has had in Chicago. According to her the closest to authentic is Monti's at Lawrence near Western. They use real Amoroso rolls.

Seacrest mentioned Monti's in another thread. Great Philly cheesesteak. I personally thought it better than what I had in Philly at one of the two places everyone goes to in Philly. Monti's has several options I don't remember the Philly joints having but its been 15 years since I was in Philly so I may not remember the facts too well.

KQX has been infected with the Vance Joy/George Ezra virus too. At least James Bay disappeared, but he's been replaced by something called "Anderson East," which is not a person's real name, it's a wing of a state-university residence hall. You suck, Anderson East, if that's your real name.

Speaking of Jack Johnson...I forgot he even existed until I was listening to a recommended playlist on Apple Music this morning and a song of his came on...yeah, just atrocious...it was like they took the worst parts of an LTG/BRick/JLN triple threat and added a poorly played acoustic track.

I only listen to KQX if I'm in the car on Sunday morning during Alt-backspace.
