The only problem I have with Jersey Mike's is their stupid "mike's way" thing. Like they invented the concept of putting LTO and oil on a fucking sandwich. I always refuse and just order the components individually cause I refuse to give them the naming rights.

I despise Jimmy John's. It's a very small step above Subway. I think Jersey Mike's is a big step above. It will do in a pinch but if I have time there are premium sandwich shops throughout the city

Penn Station East Coast Subs would fit the bill then. Very good toasted subs and great fresh cut fries. WAY better than Subway.

Quality of the fries is spotty IMHO. Have been served raw fries on more than one occassion. They always have a special running though, which is nice, and the Oakbrook one has Diet Mountain Dew which is a rarity in the commercial vending drink machine. Their subs are always good -- I'll give them that.

I'll vouch. It's pretty good.

A classic pastrami is probably my favorite non-burger sandwich. It's not as good as a solid deli version but it is good.
