Mercy! Who will be the fool tonight, indeed. Well, it won't be someone who loves diversity; in spite of the lack of Latinos, that band was well-represented: Two whites, one African-American, one Asian, and two drummers.

In my camo pants and don’t tread on me t-shirt?

I’m so rural I get the “You aren’t from around here.” Remark on a routine basis.

Oh well, off to plant peas.

When we visit my folks and go to a local bar, I get that. Then they realize who I am and say “leashyourkids!? Come drink a beer! I remember you when you were this tall! Wow, you got fat!”

Then RPB imagines them saying a bunch of racist stuff.

IMU actually reminded me of something that pissed me off last Sunday...

I took my kids bowling last Sunday after I got done with league...they're good for a game each (sort of), so good way to kill some time before lunch and naps...

Anyway, as I was getting ready to pay (Sunday before noon $1.99 special), I noticed the prices of open play...$5.50 a game weekdays, $6.99 a game weekend afternoon and evenings...and shoes were like 6 bucks a pair for rental! What the fuck!

This wasn't fucking Lucky Strike or anything...it was a fucking (former) Brunswick in Vernon Hills...no wonder bowling participation is dropping off. Fuck.

I remember going to Arlington or Brunswick in Palatine back in the day and I think my buddies and I could bowl 3 games for 6 bucks each...

There was a rather large group that had to wait until the league was done to get their lanes...and it spilled a touch past noon before they started...they got charged the 7 bucks each a game...

A lot of ignorant people stereotype. People are quickly proven wrong and often look foolish when they start making broad assumptions based on a few facts.

I listened daily to Bernstein and Goff last year till the beginning of August. I continued listening to Transition till sometime in September or October. I continued to read on this forum to see if anything had changed and it never seemed that it had.

What the heck is shrimp sauce? Was he referring to cocktail sauce or some other thing?

I joke with you cat people a lot.

I hired a new admit on January 1. It is still an employer's market, just to set some context. She took the afternoon off on Friday unannounced to adopt a cat. She sent an e-mail on Monday morning saying she didn't know what time she would be in, if at all, because her cat was sick. She left on Tuesday only notifying one of the secretaries because of the cat.

Now we have to have words. I didn't get into law to manage people. I have a laid back approach with the professional staff as long as the work is getting completed and completed well. That just isn't an acceptable reason to me, especially for a person who has built up no equity at this place.

It also pisses me off taking the weasel move of notifying the secretary, as it was completely calculated.

That went well.

The concept of being mommy or daddy to a pet started off as little joke of pet ownership. It has now snowballed into owners really believing it is the equivalent to being parent to a human.

The key is to support the independent guys.

Up in Lake County, I'll go to Lakes Bowl in Round Lake or Lakeside in Mundelein to practice before going to the Brunswick or Bowlmor or whatever the fuck it is in Vernon Hills.
