Underrated DeNiro movie.

Really great acting.

Love the interracial angle too. I think I read when it was out it was actually about DeNiro's childhood.

He's always had a fetish for black girls.

that must have been it. He did a good job in the movie. I think that was his first big role. The kid who played teenage son of DiNiro - not sure what's happened to his career. Don't recognize him in anything recent.

First of all, I respect Bobby D, he's a stand-up guy and we're from the same neighbourhood, but don't ever give him credit for writing my movie again.

You spell neighborhood with a "u" in it?
What kind of Italian are you.
Hey, Jimmy Pasta, go take care of my light work.
I don't want to get my hands dirty on this punk!

Gimme a break, pal. I'm appearing as Iago at the Royal Shakespeare in Stratford for at least the next two months.

Great movie.

My wife always enjoyed “the test” scene.

We I-TALIANS don't appreciate being called Iago's.

I love the speech about Mickey Mantle he gives to his son and of course the "now's you can't leave" Hells Angel scene.

I don't think liking someone from another race is a fetish so much as a preference. Not exactly sure why it bothers me that you put it
that way, but it just rubbed me the wrong way.

You are probably right. Rex Ryan has the foot fetish. DeNiro prefers black women.

Its a good movie and that's saying something because the main character is trash. That kid sucks.

Best scene is when Lorenzo argues with Sonny about his kid earning money for the crap games.

Terrific movie.

MANY of the guys in Sonny's crew were the actual guys from Palminteri's neighborhood. In fact, Eddie Mush was the real Mush.

The craps scene in the basement was hilarious. Palminteri tells the story about how those $100 bills kept "disappearing" during takes while shooting that scene.

Frankie Coffee Cakes - in the bathroom!

These weren't brain surgeons... they were neighborhood guys looking to score.

I also read somewhere that a producer/studio offered Chaz $1million for the story rights but he wouldn't sell it for any price unless he got to play Sonny.
