So.. when I was a kid I somehow misheard the carson’s, we are ribs jingle as Carson’s, we are sports. My folks took us to a Hawks game and on way back they told us we were going to goto Carson’s. My brother told me we were getting a football or hockey net or something and I fell asleep. I was kind of pissed when it was ribs.


Haven’t been to a Carson’s department store for years. I think I remember a giant statue outside the doors to the one at Stratford Square. It was a favorite of my Aunt to buy ugly sweaters for me through my youth.

What about Pirie and Scott? They alright?

Seriously though, Amazon Prime is the Genghis Khan of retail. My daughter has stuff flying into her house daily. That security lock Amazon is pushing so they can deliver IN YOUR HOUSE? She's all for it.

I was curvy and of short stature so I was out of luck. I shopped at madigans, merry go round, express, and contempo.

Bruce Dern is a scion of one of the families. My former father-in-law and Bruce were on the New Trier track team together. Bruce went to Penn to run track but he met a girl who was into theater and started acting to hang around with her and quit the track team- or maybe he got kicked off.
