Encouraging your three year old to engage in something like this is completely wrong and borderline abusive IMO. My 4 year old nephew thinks he "is" a cat sometimes when we babysit him. Thats fine for play time. It doesn't mean I'm going to feed him Friskies and make him shit in the sandbox.

My guess is this video is just a kid babbling stupid stuff. There are plenty of videos of kids saying they want to marry mommy or their siblings when they get older. It doesn't mean it's how they are raising them.

In some cases, like the "zoomer" story I posted the other day, it absolutely does mean the kids are being raised that way.

The zoomer story is they are letting their kid figure it out. They aren't pushing anything on them. It's dumb but the equivalent here would be not correcting them if they claim to be gay.

The thing is though, the parents are clearly coaching the kid, because as someone else said, the child doesn't know the word "gay" on his own, and certainly doesn't know how to use it to express sexuality. This isn't just supporting the decisions a child makes, this is coaching a child down a certain path, calling it a "decision" then just throwing up hands and saying "I'M JUST SUPPORTING A DECISION THEY MADE ON THEIR OWN YOU BIGOTS".

There is nothing to figure out. The kid should know if s/he is a girl or a boy.

Period.

They know baba, mama, dada, etc. They are able to know pet's names, and relatives names (aunt, uncle, etc). One and two year olds absolutely 'know'- to an extent- what the word 'Mama' means.

As JLN said, they do know what what 'Gay' means unless they are coached up on it.
