1400 AB's.

He might be incredibly average.

His stats in my mind were better than that, I would have guessed around 800 career OPS before looking it up.

I wonder if Machado is really the prize the Cubs would target over Harper this offseason.

It doesn't help him when Five Head Len throws out unwarranted MVP predictions. Still, I think he is great at the principal skill you want out of a SS, which is fielding. He gives you some hitting as well so overall I'd say above average.

I thought I saw .349 obp on the today but that seemed high.

He might be a 230 hitter who hits 2/ homers and plays real good D.

Machado is definitely more valuable than Harper, imo.

Think Len was repeating what Rizzo said.

You are correct but he kind of runs with it on his score shows.

They got him for nothing really. A's fucked up but had to at the time. Like Cubs and JQ.

Is there a guy on the Cubs 25 man roster currently Len hasn't predicted MVP for while a guest on the score?

He's off to a slow start with the bat but don't write him off yet.

Yeah he is pretty bad. I realize it is the job of the broadcaster to do things like this on the flagship these days but this is a lot. I don't think I have really listened to other main team broadcaster's scheduled spots but in the past the score hosts would be embarrassed and cut his stuff to shreds.

It's funny because he's so SABRmetric, but when he makes these statements they're not based in statistics at all.
