That's subjective. I don't know there is a definitive right/wrong that anybody can give as to same sex couples having kids. I do have questions and concerns for the child. They weren't met with anything other than contempt and saying I don't like people that aren't like me and it's close minded. A few people shared positive experiences where it has worked. Great. It does not feel like I have the right to question it or voice concerns whether they are right or wrong.

Lots of talk about things being problematic and needing and wanting important conversations. The conversation is often very one sided and really means I just want to say what I want to say and if you disagree you are hateful and shitty.

Unless you have a problem with any child raising situation where it isn't the married biological parents living together then yes there is a definitive right/wrong.

For someone who is complaining about their views not being "accepted" you are not accepting of a huge portion of parents who are either: unmarried, divorced, single parents, or other non-traditional.

I think that's just the way it is though with all people straight or otherwise. People are sensitive about parenting.

I'm not. I don't know if what I'm doing is right half the time. My mom comes in all the time and questions and parenting. I really don't care, sometimes she's right, sometimes I tell her if she doesn't like it go home. I don't get mad about it. This righteous indignation because somebody doesn't agree with you or celebrate whatever you are doing is over the top.

Even though I 100% disagree with your stance on the parental issue, the last part I generally agree with. Though I don't think that's what RPB is doing - he just asked you a question. It is common in our society, though. I'm guilty of it as well.

I can't really give a yes or no answer. It should always be what is in the best interests of the particular child in need of a home. For some it may go well, for some it may not.

Grandparents should get the least pass, I might be trying to correct some of the crazy stuff they tried to do.

If it's fair to the child. In some cases it won't be, so then my is also no. But it's yes if it works for that particular child.

And I don't really think the gov. should be involved in it.

That's why there are a lot of background checks.

No one is asking if every gay couple should be able to have a kid without any due diligence on the couple first.

Yeah, there are straight couples who shouldn't have kids either.
