I was way wrong on Jake's deal.. I'm not pleased about more dough and years for an inferior pitcher. Theo might have fucked us.. I'm sure he knows he fucked up.. Add this to the Heyward and Edwin Jackson, DJ Lamehiue ledger.

I was very clear about wanting Jake back and preferring him over Darvish. That said, I am not going to get carried away by Darvish's early returns. I remember hearing Peter Gammons and Buster Olney talking about how Darvish does not like cold weather, because it makes it difficult for him to grip and thus spin the ball. I was in Milwaukee to see Darvish pitch there, with the roof closed and the temperature at 65 degrees. He was really good. He may well struggle again tonight in Colorado, where it is likely to be cold, if not still raining. But warmer days are just ahead and I expect Yu will win 15 games or more and have a bunch of really good games. I still wish they had signed the guy who won the wild card game in 2015, the 2 World Series games in 2016 and the only game they won in the NLCS in 2017, because on th biggest stage with the brightest lights, he is at his best.

What gets me is Jake took 3/75M. He wanted to return but got greedy then stubborn. Let's hope Yu steps up and gets the job done especially in the playoffs because that is indeed where Jake was most reliable.

That's the rub, you don't want to be married to any of these guys and Lynn, Cobb and Jake all took less years..all are better options than Yu.
