I guess denis somehow has the male version of "cares more about his children than he does about his work" gene that should only exist for women.

I know you're joking around, but my wife and I made a lot of lifestyle choices. We waited to get married for much longer than most. Then waited until I finished grad school and didn't need her income to have children so she could stay home with them.

As a younger lad, I wanted to work on Wall Street. But as I got older and more family oriented, I chose an industry that is lower pressure and pay for work life balance.

Congrats Dennis. You are happy with your choices as many are.

Should women athletes be paid as much as male athletes? Should women have the same professional leagues?

I don't think anyone is arguing women who produce FAR less profits should be paid the same.

I'm guessing female models get paid more than Zoolanders for the same reason.

NHL/NBA/NFL salaries are functions of leaguewide revenue and, most notably in the case of the NHL, often don't match up with published and contracted salary figures. You could do the same with women's leagues but you couldn't reasonably expect commensurate pay.

If there was a woman as good as LeBron then yes.

Well, they are letting transgender now compete as women so there is that to take into consideration.

Well, they have equal chances to try. They just aren't yet there and may never be there.

It's the special case where women aren't physically equal to a man so their sports aren't as interesting. They can try real hard and have the opportunity.

Because Rick said so. Don't question him on the Bears or women's issues.

There hasn't been a woman to play long term in the major sports to such a degree we had to create their own leagues. If there was a female who did make it they deserve comparable compensation. We did see that with Danica Patrick but circle driving is unique.

Men are bigger and stronger.

How is that not misogynistic and unfair toward women?

It is misogynistic. It's not unfair because nothing is stopping them from competing in pro sports with the men.

I love Serena, but you don't really think she could compete on the men's tour, do you?

I think this came up in the 90s or early 2000s with Wimbledon. The men's prize was more than the women's prize despite many metrics showing women's tennis far outdrew men's.

There were complaints and articles. I think they ended up making them relatively equal.

No idea if that's still the case.

And this concludes story time

Why don't you like women's sports, Rick? You enjoy the inferior quality of NCAA basketball. The skill level of the players obviously isn't an issue for you.

Yup. It was about revenue. If the WNBA made as much money as the NBA the players should be paid the same.

So you agree there's nothing misogynistic about saying men have performance advantages when it comes to a majority of modern sports?

Well there is no female NFL and I would watch Purdue women's basketball over the WNBA too.

I watch a lot of women's Olympic sports.
