That reminds me of a story. This one time driving through Rosemont, a guy in a Mercedes was tailing me like an asshole so I flipped him off. He proceeded to blow a red light so he could pull up along side of me. He tried to throw his 64oz drink at me through his window, but it missed and flipped back, spilling into his car. Then he flipped out, cut me off, ran out of his car and jacked me in the face through my car window. Lesson learned, always make sure your drink lid is tight when you throw your drink.

I think spitting in someone's face is an "invitation to brawl" or something like that. So if someone spits in your face and you deck them, your punch isn't necessarily inherently criminal...I think.
