Hi,

I have just signed up to this board and am a Sox Fan who lives in Southern Cal. I grew up in Chicago but retained my Chicago loyalty since moving. All but the Cubs that is.

I'm retired and for the last 20 or so years, I have coached baseball at the high school and travel ball level. A few of my kids made it to the majors and I have had fun tracking some of them as they make it to college and the pros. Arizona isn't far and a few times I go visit the Sox and other teams spring training camps to see some of them play.

Anyway, I look forward to talking baseball on this board and wanted to introduce myself.

If you want to talk baseball, you came to the wrong place. If you want to spout blind homer-isms and troll the crosstown team, then you will fit in nicely.

He fainted after pitching an inning. Hopefully it was just dehydration or a result of being sick.

Hey Welington, catching the ball 5 ft behind home plate isn’t going to help you tag out the runner.

Beef, good bat, HORRIBLE framer and receiver. that's why the Cubs dumped him for pennies on the dollar.

Just tuned in and saw we are down 8-0 in the third.

I thought Shields was pitching.
