Outside of him acting like a bafoon on twitter, an unbiased person should deduce that the past 1 year and 4 months under Trump haven't been THAT bad. You can't say with any conviction this crabby old woman would have been better.

The economy remains strong.
ISIS appears on the run.
We finally got that oreitnal(can I say that?) in North Korea under control.
We've attacked that Rag Head(can I say that?) in Syria TWICE and the beta Russians have done nothing.

Obviously, I could do without the constant soap opera that he brings, but how does that directly effect US as citizens?

Other than that massive upward redistribution of wealth, yeah, I guess everything's been smooth sailing for the nation.

As opppsed to the last 50 presidents that really filtered a lot of cash down to the middle class and poor .

Plot twist: the real deplorables were the people having cocktails in Beverly Hills and the Hamptons.

Short of military actions, the president doesn’t really impact our daily lives that significantly. After eight years of Obama, the biggest impact to me was the ACA—I pay way more in medical costs as a percentage of my income than I did before that law. The biggest impact of Trump will likely be the tax overhaul—we’ll have wait to see how that plays out.

The tax cuts are a long term disaster, and the ACA is hardly the only reason why your healthcare costs have gone up.

So far I can't disagree.

MANY people are better off. Having the "respect" of other nations is overrated. Fuck them.

Though as you say his buffoonery has done serious damage to the mystique of President.

Yeah the mystique will take a hit. Whoever the next president is there will be a lot of differences to deal with. It doesn’t matter if it is deserved or not but the left is leaving quite a blueprint on how to fuck with a president.

Liberals invented attacking a president they don't like last year. No one had ever done it before.

I don't know if Mike meant this specifically, but cheering on the complete abandonment of stare decisis and handcuffing executive authority because #NeverTrump and #Resist is in no way healthy for our system. Obama had a run-in with a court over his EO policies, but to my knowledge that court didn't disregard binding precedent from its own circuit.

The Mystique was gone decades ago, this just proves that a reality clown can do as well or better than these phony political shills.

The Preaident and both houses of Congress are in Republican control.

Tell me again about liberal tactics that have stopped the President from doing anything.

Well, you see, after he goes on Twitter and says "I will destroy Weird Syria and Lame Assad and prove to Nicole Eggert that I've still got it," people say "sir, sir, SIR, this is NOT NORMAL" to him on Twitter, and then he can't bomb Syria anymore.

Liberal tactics now include judicial rulings.

Very interesting.

Trump has not done anything he promised that appeals to an Independent American. America first my ass. He was suppose to get us out of NAFTA, hope. Renegotiate trade deals, nope.

The only thing going for him right now is everyone but the media/left see's he's been treated unfairly from day 1 in office. The whole MSM has become Fox News during the Obama Presidency. Nobody likes people not being treated fairly. It didnt work for Fox news and it won't work for the MSM.

It absolutely worked for Fox News and the average American loves seeing people treated unfairly.

Ignoring precedent in favor of restricting powers granted to the Chief Executive by law (legislating from the....where?) is a new twist on an old liberal tactic, yes.

This is a good thing. Elected officials shouldn't be held in high regard.

Sounds like the groundwork is already being laid for Trump's reelection.
