Also, right off the bat letting people know that he's, putting it politely, taking cues from Barstool Sports.

Aren't they only doing two hours of local content a day? I mean, I guess Clay Travis and Colin Cowherd are boors, but you're not taking any cues, you're just picking up a satellite feed.

Is the joke that he wrote Roselle on his headband because he's rockin' the suburbs, or does he think in earnest that the commissioner's name was Pete Roselle?

FWIW, other than Patrick and Eisen, Fox Sports Radio is the drizzling shits. Depending on where I drive for work out in the ol' rust /coal belts, it may be the only thing other than Rush or Jesus radio on - and that's a hard choice to make when Cowherd or Gottlieb are on.

That's a pretty bad start.

It's like he's dyslexic, but very specifically dyslexic. Just two letters, really.

This station sounds like a good place for Finfer to work, maybe he could produce a show for Harry T and Spike Manton, a revival of the "Crease Monkeys" or something?

With NHL playoffs going on now, seems like a perfect time!

Crease Monkeys. Lol. Nice pull from the dark ages of the Hawks, with Chet as pre and postgame host.

It'd be hilarious if Finfer or Goff had to work at the same station that airs Clay Travis.

So is this thing going to have any local content, or is just a Fox national affiliate?

This station will have less listeners than The Game.

our local station here went from espn radio to fox sports and their ratings like doubled supposedly. that was like 5-6 years ago. it was all espn except for rome prior to that.

as long as you can get reception, i thikn it has legs. the game was just all local right?

1530 is like a 50-watt daytimer out of Elmhurst and the 102.3 translator can't cover anything north of the Kennedy because of WXLC. They have no reception.

I don't get why people into Chicago media get so caught up in what's half a step up from a Part 15 hobbyist station. Maybe I answered my own question. All he is is one of us.

He pointed out there is a two hour gap in their afternoon lineup, and hinted that they will "explore" local shows there.

He won't. This is the same old bullshit DuBiel has been slinging for years now.

With Bomani Jones off the radio and shunted to a podcast, Rich Eisen on delay from 4-7 would have been intriguing if WSCR had stuck with Bernstein and Goff. I can get Patrick on XM but I listen to LeBatard most of the time instead, and Colin Cowherd should just kill himself.

If Goff gets the 2-4pm slot, good for him. He'll draw a 0.1, but his national NBA talk will fit in with the rest of the national coverage.

But please, please, please let it be JDC. Although I don't see her going to a station with Clay Travis.

From 7pm-6am, Fox Sports Radio is a train wreck. I think WNTH could do a better job.

No, Chet pretty much admitted on the podcast he did for Jonathan Hood that he doesn't have a full 5 day a week show in him any more. He's turning 70 this weekend. But I could see Chet being a weekly contributor.

This guy isn't going to pay anyone to broadcast a show.

Is a stockroom full of "Glenn Beck on 1530 The Blaze" (hey I guess that's indirectly another Chicago station he borrowed) t-shirts payment?

It'll be brokered time, sell your own commercials to pay for it.

Is that true?

Do you have to provide a commercial?
