You are reading stuff I am not typing. I have never wished for him to fail.

Not idea why you brought up Q and Yu, but whatever. Completely different situations. Q and Yu are proven big league starters.

Fulmer will never been an effective big league starter. He will have a good game here and there, but his place is in the pen. When the Sox get good he will be either in the pen or on another team.

I saw McGuire take BP in Wrigley and every ball he hit landed on Waveland. Not a single ball stayed in the park. It was amazing.

The one commodity the sox are blessed with at the mlb level is time. Gio is down now so there is almost no chance fulmer is in the pen

You said pitching well is bad in the long run. How is that not saying he should pitch poorly?

Come on. When you come into a game thread and say a 8-0 game might be very bad for the Sox, you can expect people to criticize that post. Don’t act now like you didn’t know what you were doing.

Saw Strawberry do damn near the same thing. And then Doc Gooden was popping the mitt loudly enough to hear it from a rooftop

It is fools gold. Not hard to understand. Makes it appear as if he has a future in the rotation.

I dont care either way if he pitches poorly or not.

In college Zunino hit his pitcher in the head on a throw dowm to 2nd. The pitchers name was Brian Johnson. Gave him a concussion.

As I said earlier, out of Rodon, Giolito, Lopez, kopech, Hanson, Dunning, cease and fulmer, I’m sure they will be able to figure something out

This makes no sense. I’ve been frustrated with him this year but he has 20 career starts and pitched well last year as a starter. Give the guy some time.

No doubt. But I think of all those guys Fulmer is the last option as a rotation guy.

You are the one that got your feelings hurt because I dare say Fulmer is not a starter.

Not a bad deal at all.

Should we pick one for a board outing? I would prefer one of those Friday May dates. But honestly, if we get Jorr to come, he is buying all the beer anyways....
My wife and I are probably gonna go May 4th

That’s not what you said. You said it was bad he was pitching well. You always take petty shots. You are the one telling people to fuck off when called on it. Who’s emotional?

Let's do it! I could be in Oklahoma meeting James Drury (star of The Virginian), but the missus put the kibosh on that.

Entertaining is an understatement. I could watch that all day and think but that he was the straw that stirs the drink (pt. 2)

I recently reread the book on the 86 Mets. Great stuff. Such a cast of characters. It is too bad they could not keep it together to win more.

Look, I hate the Cubs and wish pestilence, war, famine, death, and perpetual flaccidness upon them. But I know a Cubs fan who used to wear a shirt at that time that read, "The Mets are Pond Scum," and I heartily agreed. And still agree.

Oh I hated them in the moment, and esp when they played the Cubs.

But looking back on them and reading up on them, they were something.

I'll have to check out that book--which one was it? They won 110 games or something....they were flying high.
