Being an admin on a board will slowly drive you insane. Eventually it will happen to the 3 wise men. When that happens we can compare their behavior to late stage bigfan. We could make a long list of complaint worthy actions of bigfan. The list is much smaller so far for the 3 wise men. That's why you see less complaining.

Bigfan once PM'd me a list of topics he 'banned' me from contributing to. He demanded that I was not allowed to discuss Israel in any threads, even if others had a topic on it and were discussing it. There were a few more subjects he said I could not discuss, by threat of banning me again. This was after my 3 or 4 month ban where he lied saying I cost him money by linking to the already open chat room which he had an ongoing subscription for. All of this was well before his last 6 months here. Yeah, he bought a group of us tacos and drinks at Flacos once. You still won't be spoken well of when you treat people unfairly, at random.

I guess Spanky's position is this:

1) BigFan used his power as a moderator to ban people arbitrarily, but that didn't define him as a moderator
2) People complained about BigFan
3) The Wisemen don't act like BigFan
4) People dont complain about the Wisemen as much as they complained about BigFan
5) Number #4 is a problem: people should complain about the Wisemen because BigFan was cool at some point

Dewski isn't in the neighborhood of worst poster on this forum. Although his "white knighting" of Chicago Bears management is both odd and annoying.

I would dance around the fire of Bears brass if they ever had the reckoning necessary to self-identify themselves as the problem. My choice to take their side on things is almost exclusively for my own sanity, as otherwise I would screaming at a wall for most of my life since Virginia will never die and her offspring will never surrender the keys to the castle.

It's much easier to take umbrage with fans who are harshing my mellow, and that is a bit of a stupid course, I confess.

Did you see that kid a few years back, Hung Fo (sp?)? He got the lowest score ever on an ACT exam for someone who answered every question. His score- 100% incorrect. They awarded him a perfect score for that result knowing that the only way statistically to get everything wrong is to pretty much know all the right answers.

He was the worst, and best.
