I was at the Michael Barrett / AJ Pierzynski game.

I was also at Game 6 of the 2016 NLCS.

Were the opposing fans in the stands a little tense after the incident?

Good one...I remember seeing that on TV...freaked out 10 year old me.

I was at the Sox/Tigers brawl in 2000...MANY things about that season still piss me off...I still have no idea how that team made the playoffs with James Baldwin's elbow and Cal Eldred's exploding forearm.

Craziest thing seen in person?

I was at a Cubs/Cardinals game in St. Louis, and a drunk fan bolted onto the field. He rounded second, third, and did a flip onto home plate. The crowd was going apeshit.

That's what I thought this thread was going to be. Not "craziest thing seen on TV"

4 HRs in a row by the Sox @The Cell against KC back in...2008? 2009 maybe? I think it was Konerko, Thome, Uribe & Alexei.
Also was at the Bears game in Champaign where Morninwheg took the wind and kicked off in OT

The Sid leg snap is so hard to watch. There's been a lot of compound fractures to air on live television, but that one stands out in my mind. I can still see it flopping around in my mind (sig material for your use).

I don't think anyone watching the PPV saw Owen fall to his death. My understanding was they cut away to the crowd immediately and the only footage of the fall that hasn't been destroyed is in WWE's legal file beneath 80 feet of concrete and dropped into the crevasse of some ocean. I remember "watching" that PPV by listening to the audio through a scrambled channel 99, and hearing JR say that Owen had died. It was pretty fucking wild.

If you haven't, read Mick Foley's first book and Bret Hart's book. Both go into great detail about that whole sad event and the aftermath from two very unique perspectives.

they cut away real quick, what I remember most is Lawlers face. I thought he was going to vomit. That is how I knew it was real. JR was managing to keep it together but he was out of it.

There was an odd game I was at one time. Sox opener I think. There was a huge fire of some sort a few blocks away which was billowing ominous black smoke over old Comiskey the whole game. Then some gigantic man about 350lbs fell out of the right field stands and he was apparently dead. Somehow they got him wheeled off the field after a while. Then the aforementioned fire caused a power outage and blackout at the game and it was delayed. Then Matty Merullo cracked a homer and the Sox won. then I went home and don't know what else occurred.

In 83 watching Fergie Jenkins lose a game in which he gave up two, two run homeruns to Mets’s pitcher Walt Terrel in back to back innings. Cubs lost 4-1. If memory serves me, they were not cheap Homeruns.

I was at the Bartman game. I did make it over to his side of the stadium and saw him being hustled down the skybox walkway above the concourse. I told him he was an asshole.

I'm not proud.

Was alone in the chapter room at my frat in college watching the Joe Theisman play. Completely creeped me out.

I've mentioned before, we were at Disco Demolition. The first game had crazy things going on before the crowd rushed the field, open weed smoking EVERYWHERE, chants of Disco Sucks (near swear word to 13yo me back then), records flung onto the field during the action, etc. One wild night.

As far as game action, we went to a Thursday afternoon Sox game in 1991 vs. the Rangers- Charlie Hough and Tom "Cotton" Candiotti, both knuckleballers. I think there were eleven wild pitches or something like that.

Been to my share of Bears games over the years, but nothing too crazy. Most memorable was Bears / Patriots in Champaign 2002. Jim Miller lost starting QB job due to some kind of elbow tendinitis. Chris Chandler had gotten just blasted the week prior against Philadelphia and I was shocked that he was getting the start. Chandler sprained his neck and I remember thinking….looks like we’ll finally get to see this Henry Burris…nope. Out comes Jim Miller. The 3nd half the Bears choked the lead away and lost. Just a strange game in a strange season.

Honorable mention to Bears super fan “Rocky”. I believe it was the final game of 1981 Alan Page retirement game….The Honey Bears had one of their standard cheers “Let’s get fire up….ooh….aah”. At one point later in the game here comes rocky with his megaphone attempting the same cheer “let’s Get fire up…ooh….aah”. All fine and good but one of the “aahs” got cut short cause someone threw a perfect bullseye snowball in his megaphone…..priceless.

The two bench clearing brawls the Sox and Tigers had at the beginning of the 2000 season. Set the stage for one of my favorite seasons of Sox baseball.

Shit, the 18th anniversary of that brawl was 2 days ago.

Ha, I was there too. Sitting right behind home plate, I had a great view of it.

Before most of you kids were born, attended a Hawks/Minnesota North Stars game at the old Stadium. The teams started fighting before the first puck drop.

It was this: From http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/ho ... story.html

....How intense did things get? The teams engaged in a brawl — started by [Shane] Churla and the Hawks' Wayne van Dorp — before the opening faceoff of a game Dec. 28, 1989. The melee lasted around 12 minutes because with the officials still in their dressing room there was no one to stop it.

I was at the old stadium when a fight in the second balcony actually distracted the players on the ice. Two goofs wrestled and tumbled down 4 or 5 rows, then squared off. Just as security got to them, they started throwing haymakers, knowing they only had a couple of moments to get in an extra shot or two.

Another great fight in the stands happened just behind me in the 300 level in year one or two of the UC. A girl had to get up to pee. The guy in the row behind said to wait for the whistle. Girls boyfriend told her to ignore the guy and go. I remember the guy above saying to the boyfriend "if she gets up before the whistle, I'm kicking your ass!" That's all it took. Great battle ensued.

Once I was at a baseball game it was the third and I thought end of the series. It turns out there were four though.
