He's gonna start right away and open up opportunities for Floyd to rush the passer.

Any idea who there guy was in the trade up?

Wasn't Roquan Smith, was it lol?

He’s most likely an idiot. See Zippy and I’s comments in the general draft thread.

Yeah there's still some players on the board too. What position you hoping they grab?

Anytime someone is labeled a "safe pick," that means it's a good pick, not some overhyped project that ran a fast 40 at the combine and climbed 30 spots (i.e. the guy the Bears usually draft).

I don’t know man. I feel like like they need everything. I guess a pass rusher or WR.

I don’t even look at this as a “safe pick”. It’s a “great pick”. This guy is gonna be a great player barring injury.

How can you argue with them getting the best LB in the draft?

Love the pick.

Look at the people arguing against it.

America
Caller Bob

I'm perfectly fine being opposite of them.

Alexander is a good pick. Not sure about the route they took to get to him, but still.

I was hoping you guys didn't grab Derwin James tho lol. I think that kid will be damn good.

NME why is Jaire a good pick? I hate it so far. I’m really hoping you can troll me for years to come on this opinion.

He's comfortable playing man to man, aggressive, and he's a dangerous potential playmaker. His aggressiveness can work against him tho, and his size is questionable. But I think he has a chance to develop into a lock down type of guy. I watched some film on him awhile back and read a bunch about him too. I didn't actually see him play much game wise tho outside of some vids. But I liked what I saw.

I like Jackson more at CB, but Alexander has potential

Bears finally drafted a guy who can captain the defense for 10 years. Great pick. Need that type of leadership at the LB position.

Bears just got a FOOTBALL PLAYER, the best defensive player at his position. Leader, hitter, baller. Another great Bears linebacker. A Chicago-style throwback: Roquan Smith.

I’ll give you the same advice I ages Bob - relax. Your team just drafted a great player.

I like the pick. Proven talent, potential multiple pro bowl guy.

Now hopefully Pace doesn't screw up the rest of the draft by over reaching for stiffs like Shaheen.
